We had a vision, one that could only be seen at Tintswalo Atlantic, also known as one of Cape Town's hidden gems, nestled at the base of the ocean-facing Table Mountain National Park.
With winter around the corner, these breathtaking handmade gowns from Lizgerie were definitely a reason to sneak up the coast and do a styled shoot.
With the help of the incredible Peach Cronje Makeup Artistry, and the talented Katie Mayhew, we were able to take this vision we had brewing and put it into reality. A huge thank you to both of these services providers who never fail to take the task they are given and exceed all of our expectations.

The most notable traits of a Lizgerie Gown, for us, is definitely the class along with the elements of laid back luxury. With the gorgeous Ashley Rothman as our model, we had nothing to worry about when it came to portraying the gowns with elegance; alongside her was the handsome James Crowson! These two definitely made our job so much easier and added their own magical spin to a successful styled shoot!

Project Flamingo, like many good things in life, started around a good bottle of wine and a desperate email that landed in the right inbox. When faced with the heartbreaking, stretched out and often chaotic journey of a breast cancer patient in the public health sector, Dr. Liana Roodt decided that something needed to be done. Not only were these women subjected to agonizingly long waiting times for surgery, they were also mostly left isolated in their struggle with a daunting diagnosis. The simple yet profoundly effective idea of “Catch-up Surgeries” and “Pamper packs” was born. When the AmaBele Belles Dragonboat Racing Team pledged the first donation to the project on a radio interview, it was kismet. Project Flamingo has subsequently changed hundreds of lives since its launch in 2010.
