The concept was born out of the desire to have dual functional spaces and to equip our bridal couples with how to execute an intimate wedding with ease. Safely Wed

The important thing to remember is that ​love is not cancelled​ and you can still have the wedding you have always dreamed about, there is just an ​extra step​ in your planning you need to include for ​complete peace of mind and to ensure the safety of all your guests​. The regulations state that weddings, functions and events have a ​strict limit of 50 persons only and all hygienic conditions and physical distancing measures must strictly be adhered to​. As it goes without saying, these strict hygiene practices must be implemented to limit exposure to Covid-19. The directive further states that the individual organising the wedding and the owner/manager of the venue must ensure compliance with the safety measures against the virus including but not limited to sanitising stations, temperature checks, physical distancing and wearing suitable PPE attire​.

In short these are the key things you need to remember to enjoy a beautiful wedding day stress free.
Set up ​screening stations at entrances​ to facilitate the screening of persons before entry;

The Venue: Infinity Studios

The minute the concept was born, we knew THE VIEW at Infinity Studios was the perfect venue for this incredible production. If it’s not the panoramic views of Table Mountain and the Harbour that convince you, then the high ceilings, natural light and perfect blank canvas certainly will. THE VIEW at Infinity Studios truly is a feast for the eyes and acted as the perfect playground for this bold wedding concept. From the get go, James the owner of THE VIEW at Infinity Studios was an absolute pleasure to work alongside. Allowing us to take over the venue, it was transformed into an oasis of delight. The multifunctional venue space allowed us to create the separate areas all easily accessible in this one show stopping venue space. Not only is this a hot trend for intimate weddings but it will allow you to maximise quality time with your guests and be fully present in your special day without any unnecessary distractions.

Once the shoot commenced, our creative partners made their way down to the second floor to shoot exclusive interviews in the venue’s fully equipped sound proof booth. This 200sqm venue space boasts an Infinity Curve and catering ready kitchen all conveniently located just one floor below THE VIEW. Brides and groom-to-be, this is an absolute must have for an intimate wedding celebration. Small and intimate never looked better!

The Decor | Decor Elements | Lighting

From start to finish, Petals Group have been nothing short of an incredible pleasure to work alongside. This special team really has crept inside our hearts and boy oh boy did they deliver. A household name in the industry, Petals Group did what they do best and created pure wedding magic. Flower, Veronica, Henco, Phillip and Christine we absolutely adored working alongside you and seeing the signature Petals Group touch in the entire production. Now for the fun bit, find out the devil behind all of the detail for the Fringed & Fabulous styled shoot!

The Floral Installation

With a firm belief in maximising the lifespan of bespoke designs, Petals Group transformed the existing metal ‘leaves’ by recovering them to create the show stopping hanging flower installations. These blooms were carefully suspended off a custom made grid to create a breathtaking ceiling installation. Old white dome shaded bathroom light fittings were used to create the centre crowns of the flowers. A multi talented team, Petals Group took it even further by sewing together existing fringing that was carefully attached around the midriff of the ball fittings to create the hanging “stamens” of the blooms! Not only did it add maximum impact but completely transformed the space when you were seated at the reception table. To add a welcome pop of colour, Petals Group took the recycle and reuse concept even further by carefully washing and cleaning damaged silk and dried flowers and attaching them to the midriff of the light fitting to cover up the ‘mechanics’. Small battery operated LED lights with new batteries were dropped inside the crown, and remotely switched on and controlled at night, changing colour as desired. We mean, the photo opportunities are epic with a statement installation.

The Tablescape

With an intimate wedding, as the bridal couple you can invest a little more in your tablescape as you have limited guests. Petals Group certainly pulled out all the stops and incorporated the signature Petals touch by reusing existing pieces and transforming them into works of art. A beautiful piece of sateen linen, in a floral print, (previously a cushion cover) was carefully glued on to a round cardboard disc, placed on top of a few glass cubes in the centre of the table, to allow some soft green foliage and moss to creep out from underneath and gently spill onto the place settings. Not only does it add incredible texture and depth to the design but it completes the secret garden theme flowing through the design.

Ambient lighting is a must and candles are an incredible way to add a warm glow without breaking the bank. A selection of candles, some re-made from left over candle wax, and others recycled, were positioned in various holders to bring an ambient golden hue to the table. Together with varied petit coloured vases filled with trimmed blooms, the table was brought to life! The above decor pieces were carefully curated to play into a very feminine fantasy-like floral theme and embodied elegance and simplicity allowing ease of conversations across the expanse of the table.

The DJ Company

Of course no show stopping wedding reception look is complete without perfectly complimenting decor and crockery pieces, as well as ambient lighting. When it comes to planning your beautiful wedding celebration, the look and feel of it is of paramount importance. So much time and effort is taken to carefully conceptualise how your dreamy wedding celebration will look. From florals to candles, surgical precision is applied so that everything can work together seamlessly. Wedding lighting is often an overlooked detail and is undoubtedly one of the most crucial elements to add that extra pizazz to your big day. Not only does it set the overall mood but it also highlights delicate details and tones that you’ve spent months planning with a fine tooth comb!

Cue The DJ Company, this dynamic team arrived in style ready for an amazing day of shooting. Liam and his team set up mood lighting all around the main table to really highlight the elegant table design. Needless to say that once the lighting was turned on, it completely transformed the space. The impressive setup picked up the tones on the table and perfectly complemented those marvellous fringed floral installations. Reception Decor

When we had the initial concept discussion, Petals Group communicated with us that they had some big plans for the shoot. To keep within the intimate garden feeling, the recycled columns and trellising was used to “envelop” the guests and embellished with luxury silk bougainvillea and large urns of fresh eucalyptus branches on top of the pillars to complete the setting. The columns and trellis' created maximum impact whilst demarcating the various celebration spaces. Paired with the lighting from The Dj Company, we died and quite literally woke up in wedding heaven. We simply cannot get enough of these ideas and their masterful execution. We highly recommend this insanely creative team for your big day.

In the spirit of reusing, recycling and reviving Petals Group created an amazing photo opportunity area in this chic reception space. A humble circular arch was carefully re constructed, elevated and embellished with left over Christmas fringing, and a combination of silk and fresh blooms and foliage, to complete the backdrop for a fabulous photo! We don’t know about you but that fringed detail is giving us all the feels.

Wedding Stationery

Wedding stationery certainly adds the je ne sais quoi to any wedding celebration and Fleur Design Studio certainly did not disappoint. From the first email right through to the last, Melane has been nothing short of amazing to work alongside. Her out of this world design ability, trained eye and incredible interpretation of the brief absolutely blew us away. Pushing the boundaries, Fleur Design Studio certainly spared no expense when it came to the delectable stationery designs. Starting the suite off was an incredible bespoke clear perspex wedding invitation complete with matching RSVP card all perfectly complementing the chic reception design.

A bespoke orange laser cut perspex menu was printed for each guest complete with chic place cards following the bold design brief. Even though weddings are smaller, adding beautiful personal touches like customised place cards make all the difference. If you are opting to do additional extras like a dessert station or stocked bar, signage is so important and Fleur Design Studio made sure that each of these stations were dressed for success with her awe-inspiring designs. From perspex to paper, every single custom made design blew us away. Needless to say, we were beyond thrilled with the outcome and Fleur Design Studio comes highly recommended.

Wedding Catering

Every top notch wedding celebration is perfectly complemented with a mouthwatering menu and boy oh boy did Annalize Catering, Crumb Cakes and Inverroche Distillery deliver far beyond our wildest expectations. Seriously, we wish you could taste and smell everything through the screen because it was that good.

Crumb Cakes

Synonymous with luxe events, Crumb Cakes is a household name and is known for her delectable edible creations. People every single edible delight Anmar touches is heavenly and she certainly brought her A-Game to create the wedding dessert station of ALL stations. A celebration of colours, flavours and tastes - Crumb Cakes is at the forefront of decadent trends for the upcoming wedding season.

For the Fringed & Fabulous shoot, Crumb Cakes certainly met our high expectations with her incredible menu. The menu included cherry and chocolate macaron stacks, petit sourdough doughnuts, white chocolate and vanilla bean cakesicles, meringue kisses, luxe pistachio and raspberry financiers (trend alert) and the show stopping five tiered wedding cake complete with abstract isomalt shards and delicate meringue kisses. A perfect combination of tones, tastes and textures, Crumb Cakes blew us away and we cannot wait to see what the intimate wedding season has in store for this powerhouse baker! Seriously, the toughest part of the day was keeping away from all of these dessert delights. Thank you Anmar, we cannot wait to collaborate with you again!

Annalize Catering

From the moment Annalize and Ollie from Annalize Catering joined this creative collaboration, it was nothing but big ideas, lots of laughs and all round ‘gees’. A legend in the industry, Annalize Catering is well known and respected for her mouthwatering catering for both business and private clients and WOW, nothing quite prepares you for the flavour bomb attached to every single mouthful. An industry giant, Annalize Catering and her team have a very versatile approach to all cuisines, ensuring their unique approach to food is savoured in every mouthful!

Needless to say, when Annalize and Ollie arrived at the shoot, we were completely blown away by not only the delicious menu but how beautifully it was presented. You eat with your eyes first and the team certainly drew our attention to their unique and artfully styled delights. Intimate wedding celebrations call for exceptional catering no matter how big or small your budget is, and when you partner up with a team like Annalize Catering, you just know the food is going to be incredible. On the menu for the shoot, Ollie and Annalize spoiled us with the following:

Smoked Paprika Olive oil Cracker with Local goats cheese, preserved quince and pink peppercorn

The girls at SA Weddings have nothing but wonderful things to say about Inverroche Distillery, and when the shoot concept arose we just knew we wanted to work alongside this distinguished brand. If you have ever had the pleasure of seeing Jody and Callen in action, you’ll know why we were beyond excited to welcome these exceptional muso’s onto set. Acoustic Element certainly does know how to bring the heat to any wedding celebration. Big or small, they know how to read a crowd, keep them pumped and wow you with their sensational musical talents. Jody and Callen can stop traffic with their cool shades and captivating tunes but instead of traffic, it was our Fringed and Fabulous styled shoot. Not only are Acoustic Element incredibly talented but they also bring the vibe along with them! Their performance on set was exactly what we needed to keep working hard and simultaneously have a bit of fun. Bernice Frylinck Makeup & Hair

It is no secret that your wedding hair and makeup is a crucial part of pulling your bridal look together! Not only does it perfectly complement your attire but it allows the photographer to capture you from all of your best angles. The 2020 season calls for fabulous big bold hair bands and accessories, oversized florals, bridal hats, dewy skin and striking pops of colour on the lips or eyes. You want to feel comfortable and flawless on your wedding day so remember that although you are the leading lady of the moment, your bridal makeup should still embody who you are! Makeup guru, Bernice Frylinck put her best foot forward and created two show stopping makeup looks for the Fringed & Fabulous Styled Shoot.

Dakota donned a show stopping bold coral bridal look! Playing with lighter, medium and darker tones, Bernice created a fabulous dramatic eye look perfectly complemented with bold lashes and wow brow. Dewy skin, light contour and a perfectly peachy glossy lip tied the look together. Needless to say, Dakota looked exceptional and received a standing ovation from the girls at SA Weddings.

Josephine looked exceptional in her warm sunset tones and dewy skin! Bernice created a beautiful bold eye using shades of gold, orange and medium shimmer tones. A classic bridal look reimagined with bright pops of colour and stunning metallics. Josephine’s bridal makeup look was completed with a bold brow, rosy cheeks and perfectly dewy foundation. Obsessed is an understatement!

Bernice held down the fort with hair and makeup on the day and worked quickly, effortlessly and executed with surgical precision. Her work on the Expresso Show shone through as she kept composed whilst not only doing the bridal looks but the makeup touch ups for the vendor interviews. Clearly multitalented, behind Bernice’s cool and calm demeanour is an exceptionally talented creative. Her flawless application and use of colour definitely did not go unnoticed. Bernice really did add some glam to the whole shoot! Thank you Bernice, we cannot wait to collaborate with you again!

Josephine looked sensational in a trendy bridal jumpsuit from the Blue by Enzoani! Complete with deep V in the front and matching silhouette in the back adding the perfect combination of sexy and sassy! Perfectly singed at the waist, this bridal jumpsuit is sheer perfection and is perfect for the modern bride who is not afraid of making a statement impression!

Dakota looked beautiful in her chic Vanda wedding gown from Alena Leena! This minimalist gown quite literally spoke to us and we adore all the delicate details. Complete with sophisticated square back (major swoon), deep V and delicate train this gown is perfect for the bride who loves dainty details and major impact!

Paired with delicate details like a deep plunging neckline, beautiful back detail and bold accessories - the brides totally stole the show. The bridal looks were taken to the next level with The Wedding Boutique’s show stopping veils which perfectly complimented the attire. Needless to say, the brides served us all kinds of decadence.

Deeply Romantic

The second wedding look brought the heat with its classic romance and chic finishing. Honestly if you’re a bride who is a sucker for ruffles, beautiful embellishments and clean lines then these two show stopping gowns from Alena Leena Bridal have your name ALL over them. Can you just imagine how beautifully they will photograph?

Josephine looked ethereal in a blush pink BELL gown from the legendary bridal wear designer Alena Leena Bridal. Ruffles on ruffles create the perfect marriage between statement and classic bridal. The blush tone looked ultra luxurious and complemented Josephine’s complexion perfectly. The epitome of stylish, Josephine certainly wowed the crowd as she gently swooped in and owned the room. Ah did we just die and go to wedding heaven?

Dakota wowed the team in her delicately detailed embellished wedding gown with flowy skirt and statement train. The epitome of style and grace, this gown is truly striking on its own. The amount of detail found in the embellished bodice is outstanding and will gently catch the suns rays during your couple shots. Last but not least, it has been our utmost pleasure to work with Gustav (aka Good Stuff) Films. An absolute delight, Gustav brought an incredible energy, working creatively and naturally with the other styled shoot collaborators. His direction with the models and service providers changed the game and allowed the video component of the day to run smoothly. All service providers felt completely at ease and relaxed, really paying testament to this cool calm demeanour on set. From the first phone call to the last, Gustav has been nothing but accommodating and kind and provided the most incredible direction to ensure the entire shoot was captured in all of its glory.
