How we met and fell in love: we met each other at a running club at university and often found ourselves running in the same training group and later both joined the club committee. After a club camp in Hermanus, there was a spark... And 5 years later we are still together. We still run and hike together, often opting for peace and quiet outdoors.

20 months to plan, so plenty of time. Lots of help from family and countless emails to the various organizers. The majority of the planning was completed a few months ahead of time which lessened the stress and minimized things that could go wrong. We also had enough time to search for the perfect venue. Navy blue (favorite colour) and white/gold. Ive always loved the colour navy and then decided to add the gold to match with it.
I wanted a very flowy wedding dress but elegant. I also didnt want to buy my wedding dress so we went to Besters Bridal in Knysna where they made the dress specially for me and I could rent it. They were amazing.
I wanted to create a romantic atmosphere with my decor and flowers so choosing orchids and roses and vases with candles in them created the correct feel for the wedding.
