Eight years dating, five years living together and ten years knowing each other.
Complimentary, meaning that we’re definitely the “opposites attract” couple. Thankfully we share values such as family focused and strong work ethic.
It was so romantic, Cameron planned a beautiful surprise picnic at Grande Provence. The proposal caught me off guard because it was my birthday month and I was swept off my feet with Cameron’s patience, vulnerability and heartfelt proposal shared between just us in a private room.
We chose to announce our engagement with a photoshoot as we want to celebrate as much as possible of the wedding planning journey. It was also a great way to engage with the photographer, like a trial and we’re sold!
Cape Point Vineyards in Noordhoek. The venue is on our shortlist for our wedding. We love being on top of the mountain and looking at the sea. It’s just gorgeous!
The shoot is definitely about showing our depth of love. We’re strong individuals and wanted to enjoy being soft and playful while embracing our love.
Cameron chose the ring after months of research. He asked me questions like whether I like yellow or white to decide on gold or platinum.
At present we’re planning the wedding on our own but we’re still deciding on the venue, so it’ll be venue dependent.
We love glass houses, modern, simple and stylish architecture that doesn’t need a lot of dress up. The shortlist of venues is mainly wine farms for nature’s beauty as the backdrop of our photos. It’ll be a family sized wedding, 60 to 80 guests, hopefully with live musical entertainment and autumn colours.
