We have been together for almost 7 years.
Jarryd is quiet, mischievous and very loyal. I'm loud, love adventures and very caring.
After months of me complaining about waiting for a proposal, Jarryd finally proposed. He came up with a plan to do it when I least expected it. He stole my apartment keys to make a copy of it, snuck into my flat while I was at work and covered the place in candles and roses. I came home from work and got the fright of my life.
Grace Hutton is one of my oldest and dearest friends. I knew she wouldn't be able to do my wedding photos as she would be a bridesmaid. It was so lovely to have her shoot us - it make them even more special!
We did our engagement shoot close to Koelbay. Grace hadn't done an engagement shoot there before so it was something different. I loved the contrast of the ocean and the fynbos.
There was no specific theme. We didn't even plan our outfits. Jarryd was stubborn and wanted to wear his own thing - luckily it all worked out in the end.
We chose it together. We walked into the jewelry shop just to get my finger sized and found this one by chance. He then made me wait 5 months before he proposed.
We got married on 14 October 2017 at Saronsberg in Tulbagh. We planned the wedding ourselves and involved all the family members. My brother did the invites, Jarryd's dad did the decor, my mom did the flowers and my other brother was the wedding singer.
We wanted a relaxed vibe with good food and wine. We went for a simple rustic theme, with lots of greenery.
I'm all about the REAL moments from the heart. Raw and unplanned. I capture the messy moments, the loud moments, quiet moments, silly laughs and ugly crys.
