Just a little under four years.
We are each other’s best friend and companion. We laugh with and at each other and can be annoyingly silly together. Awé reminds me to let go and relax at the end of the day. Elandi is always willing to motivate and encourage me in all my endeavours.
We did a road trip down the West Coast and stopped over in Paternoster for a few days. While there, Awé organised that we go up in the lighthouse on 26th December 2015, even though it was closed for the public. While taking photos of the gorgeous sunset, he got down on one knee and popped the question!
We played around with the idea of an e-shoot because we wanted proper photo’s of us, and were super stoked when it was part of the wedding package we selected.
We did the shoot at our wedding venue – Zebra Country Lodge. We always wanted to do a nature-type shoot, and this offered us the opportunity to tick the nature-box and for our photographer to get to know our venue a bit better ahead of our wedding day.
Just us… we love being outdoors and enjoying nature.
I gave him a few ideas of the type of ring I liked, but he had it made all by himself.
Our venue has an in-house wedding planner who is helping with the set up and co-ordination on the day. The rest of the organisation, invitations and planning that go with a wedding, we did ourselves.
We are planning a no-fuss, rustic type wedding. Picturing a great get-together and everyone dancing and having lots of fun!
I am a fun and creative photographer based in Gauteng, South Africa.
