Yellow Lemon Photography has teamed up with us for the most exciting event of the year - Bride of the Year 2016! We are thrilled to have them on board and have some top tips to share with you for when planning to have a photobooth at your wedding celebration.
Keep your guests entertained with laugh-worthy props and instant photo prints and consider that awkward photo-hour problem sorted!
Having a photobooth at your wedding ticks all the boxes. Firstly, it keeps your guests entertained and let’s be honest- people love taking photos! Secondly, your guests get to take a little memory of the fabulous time they’ve had, home with them to keep forever (strips are personalised with your details). And lastly, you get a copy of all the photos to have a giggle over when you return from honeymoon.
The top tips for having a photo booth at your wedding:
1. Make sure you let your guests know that there's a photo booth on offer and that it can be used unlimited for the duration it's booked for.
2. Booking more hours is actually a great idea, often some people don’t even get a chance to take any photos either because, they didn’t know about the booth being at the venue, or they're part of the bridal party and had been busy for the past 2 hours.
3. Guest books are AMAZING! Either purchase your own or request one with your quote from Yellow Lemon. It allows your guests to paste a strip in and write you a personal message that stands the test of time. They supply you with the pens and glue as well.
There are two main time slots people usually request the photo booth to be up and running. The first obvious pick is “cocktail hour”. This is when the bridal party or bride and groom are taking photos with the photographer. It helps guests by facilitating some fun and giving them something to do while they wait for you to finish your couples shoot. The second is “party time”, this is generally after the speeches are done and when everyone is ready to have a good time!
Both these time slots are great options, however there's also an extended package offer available where the booth is running during cocktail hour, idle for all the time in between and then running again during party time. It really depends on the flow and structure of your special day. Either way, you don't even need to worry about the booth while it’s running as there's an operator who will set up, take care of your guests and pack up when it’s all done. Also, photobooths are great for engagement parties, bachelors/bachelorettes or any other memorable get-togethers during your wedding journey!
Yellow Lemon Photo booth is uniquely special because it’s an open-air booth, meaning you can fit more people into the shots and it makes for endless backdrop opportunities. The booth is versatile to your venue and can be set up either inside or outside. Your print-outs are also UNLIMITED for the duration of time booked.
