The talented team behind the Kelly Jayne’s Cake Boutique is the mother and daughter duo of Beverley and Kelly Jayne Finlayson. Kelly has been baking since the age of 6, creating desserts and baked goods for the entire family. “I’ve always had a love for baking and making beautiful treats is in my blood – I live, breathe and sleep cake!”
Kelly Jayne completed a Degree in Consumer Sciences and received numerous awards during her university career, including Top Student and Top Recipe Developer. Beverley is well known in the industry for her crafting ability and is frequently a star in local craft shows. Kelly and Beverley always had a dream of working together, so when the opportunity of opening a coffee and cake shop came their way they grabbed it with both hands open.
It wasn't long before the cake side of the coffee shop business grew in popularity and they realised that their real passion was with cake-making!
Consequently, they decided to concentrate all their time into growing this side of the business. Both Kelly and Beverley are self-taught and they continually inspire each other. This amazing mother and daughter duo have been featured in many magazines and have won prestigious awards like 1st place in the '2014 Good Food And Wine Show Wedding Cake Challenge' judged by Buddy from Cake Boss himself!
