Maison Noir Collection was created in Cape Town two years ago by Jolene Lightbody, we recently stumbled across their story and couldn't be bigger fans of this find! We;re proud to announce that we'll be partnering up with them for our Bride Of the Year 2016 competition and for the bride finalists- soon to be announced- here's a little teaser sneak peak of some of the spoils you can hope to win!
The birth of this proudly local brand came with Rolene being inspired by a silk, vintage robe her mother found in a small town in France. That specific gown had extra special memories as it also doubled up as the gown she had worn to get ready in on the day of her wedding. 'Maison Noir' was created with the idea of sharing that feeling of luxury with other women. "I wanted to create an effortless, luxurious brand. One that most women can identify with. And what is more luxurious than beautiful sleepwear?"
The name of the company has its roots in France, which has been a place close to Rolene's heart for many years. "We built this beautiful Tudor-style shed on our farm for our wedding and painted it a striking black" thus it would fast become their literal version of 'Maison Noir.'
