Muse Concepts decided on the “Fly Away With Me” story focusing on Romance meets Fashion and Flight. Sweeping us off our feet, feeling as light as a feather, untouchable, lost in our own bubble. Our Concept for Fly Away With Me involved bringing all the aspects of nature, flight, feathers, fur and wind to a stunning outdoor wedding setup. The shoot made us fall in love all over again.
Jaun-Eileen Lodge art directed and styled the story out of pure love for nature, romance and fashion. She wanted to show that a minimalistic wedding style can still be dramatic and memorable by adding small, impressive aspects like falconry, dramatic parachutes, and luxurious furs but still keeping it simple and organic with natural woods, recycled furniture and fynbos.
The make-up and hair stylists kept hair to a minimal but brought in a strong fashion aspect through pops of colour in the lips and eyebrows and by enhancing our lovely model Sofie’s cheekbones. The Photographer, Anika focused on capturing an exotic mood through use of a strobe light and strong lighting angles but still catching soft light to create a luxurious, romantic feeling in all the images.
We wanted to leave a lasting impression with lustrous romance and fashion, young love and feeling light on your feet when looking at the images.
We had a wonderful team contributing to “Fly Away With Me”. After two long days of shooting we sat back and looked at what we had accomplished, and could only feel complete pride in what we as a team had designed. To everyone involved; thank you, thank you, and thank you!
