Die Erf is a venue with nature as its main feature. Built to emphasize its natural surroundings, the venue is integrated into a pine forest and weaves a journey of raw beauty between rock outcrops and wild fynbos. Offering various outdoor spaces: including a dreamy ceremony area within the forest; winding paths leading through the forest and gathering areas with a carved rock wall as backdrop and views of the overberg.
Being built on a working farm, the venue offers something unique - fields of vineyard and blueberries and a glimpse of an architecturally designed packhouse.
Drawing inspiration from its context, natural and that of a working farm - the venue’s architecture combines a contemporary industrial look with the warm tones of timber. An exposed steel structure clad in dark corrugated sheeting, timber screen details and exposed timber trusses that have been repurposed from an old shed and re-designed with steel additions into an asymmetric pitch roof. The design is intentional; adding a quirk to the conventional.
The venue hall is the perfect backdrop for a bridal party to transform into their own dream wedding - A blank canvas of dreams.
