Personal Service

Our dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator, together with the hotel's internationally experienced and committed Banqueting Team, provides passionate and meticulous attention to every signed detail from menu choice, table design and floral decoration, to the wedding cake, photography and music; traditional and cultural requirements are also taken into consideration.

Venues

The Pearl Room, elegant and sophisticated with Venetian glass chandeliers, has stunning views of the iconic lighthouse and Indian Ocean and is the perfect reception venues for larger celebrations. The room can also be used for the wedding ceremony if required. Capacity: 120 guests seated
The Shell Room, with hues of blue reflecting the ocean outside, is ideal for small to medium-sized celebrations or combined with the Pearl Room, provides a larger function area. Capacity: 40 guests seated and 50 guests standing

Pre-reception drinks are served in the Durban July Room, before moving through to the Pearl Room for the reception.

The romantic Victorian Gazebo, secluded in the lush, tropical gardens, is magical for the wedding ceremony and can be decorated to suit each particular occasion, colour scheme and style. Capacity: 100 guests seated and 20 guests standing.

Throughout the hotel, picture perfect settings create idyllic backdrops for capturing each and every moment of your special day.

The Pearl Room venue hire package includes

White table linen and white napkins.
Superior quality cutlery, crockery and glassware
Honeymoon Suite for the night of the wedding – a host of special extras is offered to the wedding couple – a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine on arrival, monogrammed gowns; rose petal turndown and breakfast in bed.


The vintage Oyster Box Rolls Royce is available for photographs or transport in and around Umhlanga (at an additional fee).

Additional Services

Over the years, we have built up an extensive network of suppliers and service providers. The Wedding Co-ordinator is on hand to offer recommendations and a co-ordination service, prior to and on the day of the wedding.

Services include:

Floral arrangements, printing of seating plans, menu cards and name cards, wedding cakes, photographers and videographers, a marriage officer (if required), live entertainment, transfers, hair and make-up.

Specialised packages for destination weddings and 'couple-only' weddings are available.
