My Special Day

My wedding look was simple and timeless. My dress had a high neckline and a low back, with a structured bow and satin buttons that gave it a classic feel. I wore my hair in an elegant low bun, and my makeup was modern yet timeless, enhancing my natural features. I wanted a dramatic statement veil to complete the look, adding an extra touch of elegance. It all felt effortlessly beautiful.

The Venue

Our wedding venue, Portland Manor, is a historic estate just outside Knysna, South Africa. Built in the 1800s, the vintage charm of the estate added a timeless elegance to our day, with its beautifully preserved architecture and breathtaking views that made for the perfect backdrop. The venue was perfect for our celebration, accommodating all our guests for an unforgettable wedding weekend filled with love, laughter, and memories.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Before the wedding, my best friend and I treated ourselves to a relaxing Thai massage – such a great way to unwind together. A few days before the big day, my husband spoiled me with teeth whitening and a Fire and Ice facial to give my skin that fresh, glowing look. I also got a brow lamination to frame my face perfectly. It was all about pampering and feeling my best before walking down the aisle!

My Captured Moments

Our award-winning wedding photographer was absolutely brilliant. With her quirky and creative approach, she captured every special moment in such a unique way. Her personality put us at ease, making us feel super comfortable throughout the day, allowing us to truly enjoy the experience. She was not just a photographer but a true artist, and we couldn’t be happier with how she documented our wedding.
