The rain made spectacular photos.
one memorable moment was the private vow ceremony.
we didn't go on a honeymoon but we had a mini moon , we went to vrolikheid landgoed in Tulbach. we are going on honeymoon in 2024 to the Dutch grand prix.
Our wedding theme was black tie. very elegant and classic. black white gold and a pop of green were our colors. my hair was in an up-style fo make it easier to move around but very bohemian style with a little white butterfly and gems. the shoes were silver with a silver glitter strap over the toes. my jewellery was a very bold silver earring with the pattern being almost identical to the pattern on my dress. the other jewellery item i had was a bracelet that was made from my mother’s old wedding ring. so very special item for the special day. the dress was a bohemian fitted style dress. it was a sequin material underneath then the bohemain lace over the top for sparkle. two straps over the shoulders to show of my tattoos and a short fur coat over the top after the ceremony for the cold weather.

we got married at Drosberg wedding and function venue in Paarl.Beautiful outside ceremony area but due to weather we got married in the reception area but the wedding planner designed that you didnt even realize you are in that area. the guest did not stay the night.
i went for teeth whitening and did a whitening regime once a month to make sure i have the perfect smile. i had spa treatments the week of the wedding. i got my nails done and had massages to relax myself
our decor was very elegant and classy. we had lots of gold and black. black tablecloths with different shapes, lengths and sizes of candles. there was a green runner in the middle just to link the green colour with the theme. the venue had standard decor of eucalyptus hanging from the ceilings which fitted perfectly. and a big fire place with eucalyptus around. big round ball lights to give the room some ambience. the flowers were white roses and orchids also with some light pink roses. the furniture were tiffany chairs with black and white couches for pocket lounges. we had easels thatbhad a custom welcome sign and an area with pictures of loved ones that couldnt be there due to them passing away.
the groom wore a white suit with a geometric pattern on it and black pants. the groomsmen wore completely black suits and white shirts. they were hired at mr suit hire.
the bridesmaids wore sequin green dresses. i really liked the colour and when they put on the dresses i liked the look and they all looked stunning. i didnt want them looking plain and boring.
i actually asked my best friend from high school to be out marriage officiant. due to her being able to make the ceremony more fun and less stiff. and with me and my husband being part of different churches it made the ceremony a lot better
i asked a friend if a friend to do our photos and video. he is from robertson and he captures special moments so wonderfully. his style of photos suited our style perfectly and with the challenge of the rain he got unbelievable shots. we did not have a photobooth
yes we had a planner that came with the venue. willem christiaan from willem christiaan events
we didnt have far to travel so i asked my father for his car which is a black Porsche cayenne. elegant which suited the wedding theme
part of the wedding package that the venue had was they prepare the food and the bake the cake for us.
our reception was very fun the venue provided the dj and they played very old school music which we loved. my husband and i didnt have a first dance due to us not being dance people so we just had a father daughter dance.
