A great day with so many memorable moments but a couple that stand out for us. Firstly it was such a magical moment being able to experience a safari on our way to the ceremony area. Both the groom's party and the bride's party were able to see loads of wildlife on the way to the ceremony. We got married under a huge fig tree that was just so amazing and made it feel like such a traditional bush wedding. Overall the reception area was amazing and the location of it being in between the rocks just gave it another romantic feeling. We couldn't have asked for a better day to start our lives together as husband and wife.
No, not yet. We plan on doing a Europe trip in November of 2024.
I wanted a simple yet elegant look that would match the theme of having a bush wedding.
Wedding dress was from brilliant bridal. We had Heinirch Greyling do the alterations and changes parts of the dress to what I had envisioned.

Hair was done by Marieta Fourie from Salon Marieta
Make-up was done by Marlene from Marlene's Aesthetic Clinic
Decor was done by Sanel from Floristry Studio
Jewellery were gifts from family members
Monate Game Lodge was the wedding venue
All guests stayed at the lodge as well and had breakfast included and had the option to experience a safari the next morning.
I am a professional swimmer so I did not need to have any fitness regime to get ready for the wedding. I also didn't do any extra beauty treatments leading up to the wedding.
Decor and flowers were done by Sanel from Floristry Studios. Decor style was kept to a minimal as we did different shapes of vases with only one or two different types of flowers. We had different size candles on the tables from candle-lite company that repurposes candles. The location of the reception area was outside with wooden tables and string lights provided by the venue.
Groom wore a navy suit from men's warehouse and groomsman wore navy pants, white shirt and brown suspenders.
Bride wore fitted lace wedding dress from brilliant bridal and brides maids wore different shades of blue dresses.

Marizanne form Protealens Photography. We could not have asked for better! This husband and wife team was amazing. They made us feel so relaxed and tried to get as many natural reactions from us as they could. They were open to so many suggestions in photo ideas. They definitely went above and beyond for us. They had so much enthusiasm throughout the whole day! Just amazing!
My mother and Sanel from Floristry helped to make thing run smoothly.
Every guest got to the venue themselves.
Food was provided by Monate Game Logde.
Cake was my by Toni Sime from Toni's Pizza in Pretoria
I designed it myself and Sigmafix printed everything.
We had such a blast! We danced the whole night and everyone that could was on the dance floor. We only practiced our dance twice the night before. We just wanted to take in the moment and make sure it was as natural as can be. Ryan Entertainment provided all the sound and was our DJ and entertainer for the night as well.
