This is an extremely difficult question to answer as the entire day was a dream come true. I enjoyed every minute of it. If you ask any of our guests or service providers you will come to understand that myself and my husband Jano where the most content and happy bride and groom.
If I had to highlight a few moments:
- it would defiantly be the first look. I walked down the aisle alone and couldn't take my eyes off of my husband. It was a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life.
-Our first moment alone on our way to take photos was a great memory as we just took in everything. We then realised that we where busy living a life long dream.
-During the evening we went outside to sit alone on the deck at our wedding venue. Looking at all our guests and admiring the moment of having all our favourite people at one place to celebrate our love for each other was such a great experience.
Yes we went on honeymoon to Greece. It was nothing short of breathtaking. Those Pinterest and Instagram dreams that you see of Greece are that and so much more. It was such an amazing experience traveling with my best friend. We truly experienced the Greek culture by eating seafood, driving quad bikes, going wine tasting and swimming in the warm sea.
My favourite part of honeymoon was being able to spend time together without any distractions or stress. Just simply having fun.
My look was elegant, modern yet timeless.
Hair & Make-up; The most talented Lee-Anne Heinse did a golden brown eye. It was a very natural yet striking look. I then had a middle path with a sleek low bun. This was in order to compliment my V shaped neck line of my dress.
Dress: I bought my dress at Blanco. I tried this dress on at three other wedding boutiques. It was the first shaped wedding dress that I had tried on and it stuck. It complimented my figure and made me feel extremely confident. It was a white over the shoulder dress with a V shaped neck line. It had pleats at the top with a smooth and tight bottom.
Shoes: I bought my shoes at superbalist. It was a point toe white shoe with a block heel. It was extremely comfortable. I loved my shoes and made my dress the right length for my shoes to show.
Lingerie: My dress had a build in bar. I bought a seamless nude panty that would not show under my dress from bra's and thing's.
Jewellery: My earrings I bought at Lavisa. It was a hard to find. I really wanted that classic "diamond" pendant with a pearl. Only a week before the wedding I found it. I also wore a silver trilogy ring that my husband had bought me for my 21st birthday which was very sentimental to me. My wedding ring and wedding band was designed and made by ring artisan. They did a perfect job of my oval halo engagement ring and my circle diamonds wedding band.
We got married at The Cooperage, Anura. This is a stunning wedding venue with so much detail and potential. We where set on this venue the moment we drove into the farm the first time. They unfortunately don't have accommodation on the venue therefor we stayed just down the road at Paddabult. This was where we got ready for the wedding as well.
I generally have a good wellness routine therefor I didn't change much to my normal routine. I am a very active person and therefor staying healthy came easy to me. I didn't go on any shredding for the wedding diet. I just maintained a healthy balance. Myself and my husband went to the dentist before the wedding for a clean and then did a at home whitening kit.
Fab events where my HEROS when it come to the look and feel of our wedding.
The ceremony: We had large white flower arrangements at the alter. A personalised white plinth with our initials and wedding date was used as a ceremony stand.
Pre-drinks: we had brown cream and pink lounge pockets. A white bar. for coral we had small flower arrangements on the deck.
Reception: The brown wood ceiling was complimented with black abstract lighting design. We had round tables with a floral display of high top flowers and smaller lower flower designs. The main colours of black and white where incorporated. The bridal table had a large flower cloud on top white a collecting of candles on the table.
The grooms suit was custom made by GT suits. A stylish black suit with a high pocket trimming and a black tie. The groomsmen wore Mr.Suit hire suit in black and a black bowtie.
I didn't have any bridesmaids.
Anton Duvenhage
Cilliers and Visser. They where absolutely amazing. They captured our day perfectly. They provided use with photos and a 8 min wedding video.
I only had a on the day planner. I wanted to go through the entire planning process. Therefor I used Marilise Summers as my on the day planner.
My brother drove me to the venue and dropped us off the evening.
Koskouture made our food. We had a harvest table and canapés as a starter. Our guests enjoyed a warm winter lamb shank as a main. We didn't have a wedding cake as we decided to rather go with roaming deserts which was Pastel de Nata , Peppermint crisp tarts and chocolate moose cups.
All these dishes where served by the use of ASAP Staffing.
La Mi-Ka Design printed our stylish black and white modern startionary. We had an order of service, menus with names on and a table list. We also made personalised water bottles with our initials and wedding date on.
We had a violinist before hand playing up beat sing along music which our guests enjoyed. We didn't take dance lessons as my friend which is a dancer choreographed a dance for us. We chose to dance a slow waltz to "I get to love you". This set a romantic mood. We ended our first dance off with a confetti gun. Our music and lighting was all done by DJ Joe. DJ Joe kept the dance floor full the entire evening.
