Picking highlights of our special day is very difficult, as there were so many. The day was just perfect and I wouldn't change anything if I had the opportunity to do it all over. Having our closest people around us to celebrate us was the biggest highlight. My dad's first impression when he saw me in my dress for the first time got me to tears, thank goodness my make up artist stayed a little bit longer to do some touch ups. Walking down the aisle and seeing my future husband was very exciting and I couldn't wait to get to the front to stand beside him. Everything was a highlight!
Yes, we went to Mauritius for 10 days and then spent a week at the Kruger National Park.
I wanted to achieve a timeless look and feel overall. For my dress I had an over skirt that I wore for the ceremony, I wanted to achieve a dramatic fairy tale look that suited the venue between the trees. I removed this piece after our photos was taken and walked in at the reception without the skirt. My dress was a mermaid shape dress. For my hair I went for a classic up-do, but slightly messy to fit in with the Boho theme of the decor. My make-up was also slightly dramatic with darker moody eye shadow. My shoes was a classic bridal shoe with a modern twist. My jewelry was Rose Gold with diamante, it fitted with my wedding ring and band. I had a hair piece with Rose Gold metal, diamante's and and fresh water pearls.

Die Woud is in perfect harmony with nature nestled between established oak trees and majestically tall wattle forests.
A year before the wedding I joined Forever Strong Fitness Center where I did a 6 week challenge and lost 11.6% body fat in 6 weeks. Not only is this a gym, but they guided me with an eating plan and had assessments to keep me on track to achieve my goals. I then decided to join the gym and I am currently still a member at the gym and became part of the Forever Strong family which is now part of my everyday routine. This became my lifestyle. In the winter months before the wedding I went for a 6 x Chemical Peel and 6 x Dermapen sessions, and then I went for 6 x facial every week before the wedding.
I bought an at home teeth whitening kit from my dentist, which I started 3 months before the wedding.

My decor and flowers had a very moody, but rustic feel. I picked black under plates to match to the frame of the glass house, and then the flowers was autumn colours, for example, blush, pink, orange, white, etc.. with dry elements. I like texture, so San-Marie used woven Boho lamp shades that was hanged from the roof, mixed with naked bulbs.
The serviettes I printed and sewed myself, it had a very black background with pink / blush / orange photographic flowers printed on them.
All outside furniture I rented from the venue. Then we used the inside furniture of wooden rectangular tables with ghost chairs.

My bridesmaids wore same styled, but different dresses. Each wore a different colour (black, blush, terracotta) with a different shaped necklines (One shoulder, strappy and halter neck). One of my bridesmaids was Elouise Roode, she is a brilliant dress maker. They looked stunning!
