The walk down the aisle will forever be imprinted in my mind as it was super emotional (good emotional). My first dance with my dad was special for sure. There was actually nothing I can fault on our big day. It was truly a dream come true.
We have not yet been on our honeymoon. Hopefully soon.
I feel my wedding look was "me" classic yet sexy. I had a 2 in 1 dress. With an overskirt for the ceremony and took it off for the reception. My jewelry were all gifts from my husband over the years we have been together. Pearl earrings I got as a gift for the wedding. A pandora bracelet I got one mother's day. My shoes I kept simple with a block heel for the ceremony and white sneakers for the reception (I twisted my ankle 4 days before the wedding) so I was in a lot of pain the day as I tore ligaments. Flats were just a life safer.
We got married in Bethlehem, Free state. At Lavender Hill country Estate. Our guests stayed the night over at the venue as the venue provided many stunning rooms.
I had my lashes done the week of the wedding as well as colored my hair.
I had a full body massage to just relax a few days before.
Our wedding was elegant with touches of wood. The colors were navy blue and dusty pink. Flowers were roses and greenery. We had a gin bar and coffee barista at our canapés which added such a lovely touch.
The groom wore a 3 piece suit. He got it from Eurosuit. The groomsmen wore navy pants from Zara with a white shirt, suspenders and brown shoes and belt.
The bridesmaid's each wore their own look (what they were comfortable in) but they all had the same color dress, dusty pink. I found images on pinterest and they chose their favorite. They had the dresses made by the same designer
Ds. Tertuis. He was amazing
Our photographer was Ilana van Zyl. We loved her from the moment we met her. She made us feel so comfortable from the get go. Her husband was the videographer. For our photobooth we used a local company "snap it" to come do our photobooth
The venue provided a wedding coordinator for us. Which was amazing throughout the entire process. She made our dreams reality.
The venue itself made our food. They have a 4 star rating. The food was top class and could really not have had a better delivery on food.
Our wedding cake was made by a local person that is on the vendor list of the venue.
We used multiple people/ companies to help out. From small home based businesses to big well known ones.
Our reception was amazing we had a rather small wedding. Our tables were 2 banquet tables but it all tied together so well. We did not do dance lessons we just winged it
Our lighting we used a vendor from the venue that did all our lights.
Our DJ was Chris from Baseline sounds.
