Our wedding was postponed 4 times due to Covid, so our big day was a long time coming!
We had 60 guests and rented out 2 game lodges for everyone to stay - Thornybush Lodge and Saseka Tented Camp. Our guests stayed the night before and the night of the wedding.
We had a bush dinner with all our guests the night before the wedding and got to spend real quality time with our special people.
Our ceremony was at Saseka Tented Camp followed by canapés in the river bed below, in amongst the wildlife and soft setting sunshine. We were serenaded by a sax and melodic dj, sipping champagne and eating delicious food.
Our reception was at Thornybush Lodge with our guests being transported by game vehicles. We danced the night away, to epic music, under fairy lights and the moon.
It truly was the best time of our lives!

A friend of mine suggested trying the Ordinary skincare range in the buildup to the wedding. I would highly recommend for a low cost, very effective regime.
I cut out sugar and booze in the build up to the wedding which really added to a healthier looking skin tone and helped me loose a few extra kilos.
I wanted to go for a soft and classic look that looked like it fit in the setting.

My husband is British and wanted to wear traditional British attire at a wedding.
The groomsmen, groom, my dad and our MC all wore morning suits.
My bridesmaid wore infinity dresses, in a taupe colour.
They were cool in the heat and the girls could wear them any way they wished to suit their body types

Some guests flew into Hoedspruit while others drove. Game vehicles were used to transport guests between lodges and on game drives

Our reception was epic! Our guests did not stop dancing all night!
We practiced a few moves for a first dance but really just winged it on the night!
