The top part of my dress had Lace but the rest of my dress had a smooth satin look, with my train that once again flared out with lace. It was tight-fitting enough to fit my body but still comfortable for me to dance the night away with my Husband.
My wedding shoes were a leather brown color with a small heel. I wanted shoes that I could walk and dance in the whole night. I also wanted shoes that would make a statement and that were a bit out of the ordinary.
My jewellery was a fine rose gold bracelet and earrings, I was a very minimalistic bride and this delicate bracelet brought the look together so beautifully.
We got married at the stunning The Stone Cellar in Heidelberg, Gauteng.
This picturesque wedding venue is located on a farm with the most beautiful fields of cosmos flowers over the time of year we got married. The chapel and the reception hall are walking distance from each other. They also offer luxurious accommodation at the venue for 40 guests. Most of our guests stayed at the venue.
They also accommodate family weekend weddings. We had a family braai on Friday, Our dream wedding on Saturday, and a lovely breakfast with all our guests on Sunday.
I wanted to be a very natural bride.
I had a deep cleansing facial once every two months for 6 months before the wedding.
I also went to the gym 5 times a week and did mostly cardio and body weight exercises.
We both love nature and the outdoors so we wanted to use that as inspiration for our wedding, we also love the autumn flower colors so we combined the two. Our wedding colors were White, Sage green, and varieties of Rust colors.
Our Flowers were white and rust-colored orchids, Dried flowers, and white roses. Our serviettes were rust-colored and our seating arrangements were individual sketches of each person. We also wanted a very personal wedding.
The venue had different types of wooden chairs and the roof was hung with fairy lights and beautiful chandeliers.
Our guest book was a polaroid camera with a book to stick your photo with a note.
