We made sure to schedule more than enough time for everything, so we could be present and take each moment in. Here's our top moments!
1. Our first look. We did a first look as both of us were very nervous and really wanted to take it all in. It was perfect!
2. The Ceremony. We stood to the side and faced our guests. It was so memorable seeing our guests faces.
3. Canapés. We had 3 hours of canapés because we really wanted to prioritize time with our guests. We greeted everyone and had time for snacks.
4. Our reception entrance. We couldn't stop smiling! Perfection!
5. Taking a moment and sitting in the fairy light tent alone while taking it all in.
6. Dancefloor!
We only had a mini-moon, because both of us had to go back to work, but spent 3 amazing days at Emily Moon in Plettenberg Bay.
I cut my hair the week of the wedding! I really wanted Hollywood curls with a long bob. Elrike from Canvas Makeup Artistry did my hair and makeup and made me feel like a model. I had bronzy tones with a darker lip. I loved it wo much!
Wedding dress was by Elli-Nicole Bridal. She designed my dress on me and the experience was just everything.
Accessories were my grandma's rings and earrings from Nupt Bridal.
Shoes I got from Fochini's and it fit the Hollywood glam look perfectly. My shoes also got very dirty with all the mud from the rain, so I'm glad that I wasn't too sentimental about them.
We were lucky enough to be the first wedding at Cipresso wedding venue in Bashewa, just outside Pretoria-East. We fell in love with the tall trees and immediately knew that it was our venue.
I really didn't focus on losing weight for the wedding. I ate healthy and exercised as normal, but didn't deprive myself from eating.
I went for teeth whitening at the Good Hygienist. She was amazing!
Dené was the most perfect officiant that made it so extremely personal! She sent a questionnaire beforehand and we went for coffee where she made sure to approach the ceremony in a way that made us feel at ease and represent us too.
Ann Elizabeth Photography was our photographer and she was everything we could dream of. She captured all our moments so beautifully!
Our videographer was Jacques from Enya Photo and film and he's also a great friend!
We also got a 360 spin photobooth for our guests as entertainment and they absolutely loved it!
Izaan from 77 Designworks designed and printed our stationary on the most beautiful linen. We now use the welcome sign and seating chart as table cloths and love that we can now reuse it.
We're not big dancers, but entered the hall popping confetti cannons. The tent was filled with fairy lights from Softlight Decor Weddings. Our DJ was Craig from That DJ store. He understood the vibe we wanted perfectly.
