After 10years of being together, i was just so happy for the day to finally arrive. Although a week before the weekend i got extremely sick and ended up in hospital, i was determine not to change my wedding date. The reason why the 1st of October was so important, is because both my husband and I are born on the 02/10/1991. So having our wedding before our b'day was extra special weekend.
It was great getting the two families together and seeing how well everyone got along with each other. But the best part was just being with my husband and the way he looked at me with his puppy eyes like someone who's very much in love.
Unfortunately due to my health condition, we altered our honeymoon plans which was going on a road trip exploring different places and ending up at Kimberly to visit my husband's Godparents as well as taking a trip to Gold reef City.
Instead i booked us in for our b'day in Langebaan at Lover's Corner, for a romantic night away with the hubby. We were both on leave for two Weeks, so we frequently took trips to Capetown and explore different places, but the best part was a day trip to Waterfront Capetown, where we ended up playing the mini golf and doing the Escape Room. Super awesome.
My hair was done by Vicky - an amazing hairstylist from Saldanha. She did an absolute amazing job since when i arrived at her i had a few different looks in mind but didn't exactly know what i wanted, but she improvised and incorporated all my different styles in one look.
Makeup was done by Sheena Bagus - a lovely young girl from Vredenburg who offers mobile makeup service.
Wedding dress was hired by Weddings by design in Durbanville - Nicky and Suzette are two amazing ladies who have the most beautiful dresses. And they were so helpful in finding me my wow dress.
Jewellery, shoes and accessories were bought at various local shops in Vredenburg.

We got married at Schaftplaas plaas, Langebaanweg. Both the ceremony and and reception took place at the amazing venue. The venue also had some cottages and glamping tents, so the guest could stay over if they did not want to travel back home afterwards
Both my husband and I started using Herbalife products in February in attempt to loose some weight for the wedding and we started eating more healthy and less junk food. The week of the wedding i got a facial treatment at La vita spa in langebaan at the Mykonos Resort.
My wedding had a black and gold theme. Part of Schaftplaas wedding package was that they also do all th décor and flower arrangements which made things a bit easier for the Bride. However i appointed Loraine Bester who had a her own Catering business nl. Loren Amee Catering Supplies.
She was in charge of décor of the tables and ceremony area whilst Alet Kruger from Schaftplaas arranged the flowers and did the girls bouquets. Between Alet and Loraine they both brought their creative minds together to incorporate my vision for the wedding and they made it absolutely stunning.
The Groomsmen clothes were bought at Suite Hire in Vredenburg. Unfortunately the business closed down in June that's why we bought their clothes instead of hiring.
The Grooms cloths were hired at Smartmens Suit hire in Malmesbury.
All of them bought there shoes and socks at Markams clothing store. In addition i also made them specialised t-shirts at Copy and Paste, in printing service provider in Langebaan
My bridesmaids dresses were inspired by my wedding dress, as the bottom part was similar to my wedding dress. Their dresses were ordered online by Shein. In addition the girls also got personalised t-shirts from Copy and Paste from Langebaan
My wedding officiant was a retired Priest in the New Apostolic Church from Langebaan and also a family friend, Betram Albrecht.
And in addition to the wedding officer conducting the legal part of the wedding, i also had my church leader from Vredenburg bestow the wedding blessing upon us, Chris Meyer.
My photography was Lizaan Nel and her partner, both from Langebaan.
Lizaan Nel photography made us feel very comfortable behind the camera. Most people don't know how to pose behind the camera but this mean team knows exactly how to guide people into a pose to get fabulous photo's.
Alet from Schaftplaas did set up a little photo booth for us, a wooden pallet with fairly light backdrops, were we could take photos with our guests.
Alet Kruger from Schaftplaas wedding venue coordinated the day assisted by the MC, Marion Bagus.
They made sure that everything runs smoothly and they did an amazing job.
I drove myself to the wedding venue as my make-up was done at the venue and i also got dressed at the wedding. From the cottage where i got dressed to the ceremony area my father drove me in his car. It was not a very far distance, but it made it extra special to have my dad drive me.
The wedding cake was made by Langebaan Chef School located at Mykonos Resort.
The food for the wedding was catered by Schaftplaas own personal Chef

We did not take any dance lessons prior to our wedding. I was going the teach my husband a few moves before the wedding, but after getting sick time was not with us. So we basically freestyled our wedding dance.
My DJ's work for SKS events from Vredenburg, however they played at my wedding as a private gig as I'm friends with both DJ Mirkie and DJ Donny.
