Walking down the aisle towards my future husband, I felt a mixture of nerves, excitement, and overwhelming love. And when I saw him standing there, his eyes red with emotion, I knew that all of the waiting and planning had been worth it.
But the emotional moments didn't end there. During our first dance as husband and wife, we were swept up in the magic of the moment, swaying together to the music and feeling like we were the only two people in the world. And as the night went on, we watched as our guests laughed, danced, and celebrated with us, their joy contagious and filling the room with an energy that we'll never forget. One final highlight was my dance with my father, we choreographed a slow dance that went into a well thought out break dance that surprised everyone!

Yes, my husband surprised me with the destination and we ended up in the stunning island of Mauritius. We stayed at one of the beautiful Beachcomber Resort & Hotels and it was truly a dream come true. The white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and breathtaking scenery made our honeymoon unforgettable.
For our special day, my husband and I aimed to create a wedding look that was pure, delicate, and timeless. I opted for a natural bridal look with boho-inspired hair, expertly executed by the talented Deidre Green. My wedding dress was a stunning bespoke creation made by a family friend, who is also an experienced dressmaker. The dress featured exquisite details and was the epitome of elegance and grace.
To complement my dress, I chose white bejeweled sneakers from Sissy Boy that added a touch of fun and modernity to my overall look. I also wore a white cotton bridal robe with lace sleeves, made and embroidered by Raelynn Rose Bridal, which added a touch of comfort and luxury to my getting-ready experience.
For my jewellery, I trusted Kathleen Barry Bespoke Occasion Accessories to create a bespoke rose gold and pearl set (necklace and hair vine) that matched my style and preferences perfectly. Kathleen makes everything by hand and pays attention to every detail to ensure that her creations are one-of-a-kind and breathtaking.
Overall, my wedding look was everything I had dreamed of and more. It was a perfect representation of my personal style and our vision for the day, and I felt like an absolute princess.
We had a truly special and intimate wedding, which took place at our home. It was a dream come true for us to exchange vows in a place that held so many precious memories and where many more memories will be made. After the celebrations, some of our guests drove home, while others chose to stay overnight in local Airbnb's and bed & breakfasts.
Leading up to our wedding, we worked with personal trainers at BODYTEC Montana to ensure we were fit and healthy, while also making a conscious effort to make healthier choices in regards to diet. To achieve flawless skin, I went for regular treatments at Riekie Medical Aesthetic Centre. Additionally, we prioritized self-care and enjoying at home facials and treatments throughout our engagement. Ultimately, we wanted to feel our best on our wedding day while also savoring every moment together as a couple.
For our décor, we wanted a romantic and ethereal feel, so we used lots of fairy lights and greenery, along with a variety of roses, baby's breath, and ferns. Our service providers really brought our vision to life. JNH Events and Decor provided beautiful white Tiffany chairs for both the ceremony and reception, and DeCo executed a stunning circular arch with floral arrangements that was the centerpiece of the ceremony. Eucalyptus down the aisle attached to the chairs and a bright red carpet completed the look.
For the reception, we used wooden tables from Liquid Lily, which gave the space a warm and natural feel. Letters to Kallah made beautiful hand-painted and handwritten glass name plates for each guest. To set the mood for the reception, we used mood lighting arranged by Kilowatt Productions. The lighting added a warm and intimate feel to the space, which complemented the décor perfectly. The fairy lights draped over our heads all across the tennis court made it look and feel magical!
For our special day, my husband and his groomsmen looked absolutely dashing in their coordinated attire. The groom himself wore a stylish green blazer from Country Road, paired with khaki brown trousers from Woolworths and a crisp white button-up shirt from Trenery. He completed his look with a stunning handmade leather tie from Mizpah and a pair of brown leather CAT boots. On the morning of the wedding, he was treated to a luxurious pampering session by Kuif & Baard CastleWalk, which helped him look and feel his best.
As for the groomsmen, they sported the same khaki brown trousers and white button-up shirts from Woolworths as the groom, but they personalized their look with unique accessories. Each of them wore a matching leather bow-tie and suspenders from Mizpah, which added a touch of sophistication to their ensembles. And just like the groom, they were also treated to a pampering session with Kuif & Baard CastleWalk, which made them feel confident and ready to celebrate.
For my bridal party, I wanted each of my bridesmaids to showcase their individual personalities and style, while still maintaining a cohesive look. We opted for infinity wrap dresses in rich, vibrant hues of emerald green, sage green, copper, and red. The dresses were handmade by one of my bridesmaids, Danéale Stoltz, who did an incredible job bringing my vision to life. I was so pleased with the dresses and how they fit each bridesmaid perfectly.
To complete the look, my bridesmaids wore white sneakers with matching ribbon in their dress colors. Their makeup was expertly done by the talented Cleodeline Mostert, who created a natural, glowing look that complemented their dresses perfectly. My bridesmaids' hair was styled by themselves, which added a personal touch and made each of them feel comfortable and confident on the big day.
When it came to capturing the magical moments of our special day, there was no one better than RG Snapshotz and their talented crew. This amazing team consisted of two expert photographers and one skilled videographer who worked tirelessly to document every single moment of our wedding, from start to finish.
What we appreciated most about RG Snapshotz was their attention to detail and their ability to put us at ease. They even arranged an engagement shoot a few months prior to our wedding, which helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera on our big day. Throughout the entire event, they were incredibly organized and efficient, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and on schedule.
But what really made our day extra special was the photobooth they provided for our reception. Our guests had an absolute blast posing with all of the fun props and wigs, and they were thrilled to receive a printed copy of their photo as a thank-you gift and memento of the day.

However, we were fortunate enough to have the talented and experienced Lily Albertyn as our coordinator to help bring our vision to life. Two of our beloved family members graciously drove me and my bridesmaids from the bridal suite to the ceremony venue in their own vehicle, creating a truly intimate and heartfelt moment. As for our exit, my husband and I departed as newlyweds in our own vehicle, making for a meaningful and memorable end to our special day. While we didn't enlist any specific service providers, we wouldn't have had it any other way.
For our wedding, we were fortunate enough to have the incredibly talented Michelle Botha prepare a mouthwatering Mexican spread and custom drinks to complement the food. Our guests also enjoyed bottled water at both the ceremony and reception, which was supplied by sayYes. The cake and cupcakes were masterfully crafted by Pai - Bakery and Patisserie, and we were thrilled with the beautiful cake topper designed and cut by Lilly Leigh.co.
