Our story began in the year of 2008. I was working at Top CD in Menlyn while Anthony was working at Mr Price Weekend Clothing. I was on my way to Exclusive Books after finishing my shift to buy some books. And Anthony saw me at the escalator at the top and he knew. We became friends, but due to personal family problems out of Anthony's hands, he had to move away. We lost contact for about 9 years. Then Anthony started to reach out towards me on Facebook Messenger in June of 2017. We became best friends, as if the years of no communication fell away. Then became roommates to help each other through financial difficulties in 2018. Took another 2 years before we became a couple. Then on Christmas Eve in 2020 Anthony popped the big question and I said yes... Now the next chapter is starting in 2022...Getting married...
On Christmas Eve of 2020 Anthony proposed. As a Christmas gift I received a flash drive. No clue what was on the flash drive and my brother said he will take it and said it probably has some Christmas music on it and will put it on the TV. The recording started to play with photos of me and Anthony. A bit confused as the video was small on the TV. Anthony then had to read out the messages on the boards, because it was too small, I couldn't read it. But the whole proposal and our story was written out on the boards. It was very memorable and cute how Anthony stumbled over his words, but at the end of the messages and song, he proposed and of course I said yes.
