Divine Connections
we were introduced to each other by my fiances pastors who had met me for the first time when they visited my family for dinner during the covid-19 pandemic. While conversing at the table my singleness became a subject matter. The pastor had asked me if Im in love and I said no, thinking that it was a forward question, I went on to explain why I have been single for so many years. A few days later they asked my parents if they can share my contact details with a lovely young man who attended their church. I said yes, there's no harm in meeting new people and making new friends. He connected with me via whatsapp and from there it progressed to weekly zoom virtual dates because we lived in different cities. I immediately liked him from our first virtual meeting and I looked forward to our weekly zoom calls. during that time we grew fond of each other and enjoyed talking for hours. Our virtual date turned into face to face dates one day before valentines day and the rest is history! we fell in love and got engaged a few months later. This valentines day will be 1 year for us and we are getting married in July.
Our intimate winter wedding at Avianto was everything we wanted and more. I remember walking into the chapel in my lace gown and cathedral veil listening to the string trio play our song.. can't help falling in love ...it was a beautiful moment as I always dreamt of a chapel wedding ...and as I continued to walk down there were claps and shouts, even ululates of rejoicing and celebration. Saying our written vows under the trio of chandeliers to each other in the presence of our closest family and friends was the highlight of the chapel ceremony for us. At the reception our families exchanged trays, an indian custom of blessing, where gifts are bought and exchanged between the two families. It was a beautiful evening of food, fun, laugher and dance - the bride squad ended the evening with a Bollywood fusion dance and thereafter we danced the night away.
Our honeymoon destination was Turkiye. We visited three amazing cities Istanbul, Cappadoccia and Izmer. The food, culture and people were incredible! The highlight of our trip was the hot air balloon ride in cappodoccia it is a once in a lifetime experience! We also enjoyed visiting the ancient city of Ephesus in Izmer.
My wedding dress was the first dress I tried on at silk stitches. A lace and beaded mermaid silhouette with a very dramatic train and a cathedral veil to finish off the look perfect for a chapel ceremony. My hair and makeup was done by the makeup alchemist, a simple yet elegant look.

We got married at Avianto in Mulderdrift. A village made in heaven! Our ceremony was held in the exquisite chapel and our reception was at the banqueting hall which had a huge fireplace perfect for a winter wedding. Some of our guests booked into the Avianto Hotel accommodation and we stayed there for the weekend until we left for our honeymoon.
