For our first 2 nights, we were gifted a stay at the Westin Hotel in Cape Town, where we could relax and take in the wonderful wedding day that we had and then we spent the next 6 nights at Ndhula Luxury Tent Lodge in White River, Mpumalanga where we were surrounded by wildlife and incredible nature views.
Because my dress was filled with sequins and beads (my disco ball dream dress!), long sleeved with a full skirt and a long dramatic veil! I wanted to keep the rest of my look simple with hair swept back and low, natural makeup and a pop of colour with my 'something blue' block heel shoes. I'm not the kind of individual to have my hair done or wear make-up but my wedding day was not just any day.
Jewellery was simple, nude gem drop earrings with a yellow gold ring that belonged to my late-grandmother.
I added a simple playsuit to my reception look for all the dancing that took place!

Our ceremony took place at our Parish, St. Ninian's Catholic Church in Kuilsriver, Cape Town.
Photos were taken at Mont Marie Estate in Stellenbosh.
Our not-so-intimate celebration ended off at Asami's Stellenbosch. What's not to love about an all you can eat sushi buffet reception?!
I definitely tried to cleanse and work out more frequently before the wedding day.
Thank you to Bakwena Day Spa in Zevenwacht for the Half Day Spa sessions!
Once I became obsessed with the movie Crazy Rich Asians, I envisioned my entire day to turn into the forest-like wedding ceremony scene!
But with a budget, our decor was very simplistically beautiful. We DIY'd as much as we could to save costs.
We had faux white cherry blossoms in our church and venue.
We planted and dressed our Thank You gifts (little pot plants).
The owner of Pixins and Luxbury Gifting Studio created beautiful personalised keyrings for our gifts as well as the rental of table numbers.
Alden's suit and velvet bow tie was made by GD Suits with a black velvet blazer from Fabiani.
The groomsmen rented black suits from Mr. Suit Hire and part of their bridal party gift box was the funky patterned socks and slim black ties that they wore on the day.
Our bridesmaids were stunning in black velvet wrap dresses (thank you Pinterest!), something that I wanted them to be able to wear on more than one occasion. They could wear any black block heel shoe that they were comfortable in and simplistic yellow gold jewellery.

As a photographer, this part of my day was very important!
I put my trust into Jané Ulla for the photography and Dean Saville Media for the videography.
None!
Asami's Stellenbosch prepared delicious canape's and kept the sushi and other eats coming all night!
We didn't have a cake but our guests received the best carrot cupcakes, made by a family friend.
Because we didn't have a big budget, I did most of the designs (Save The Date, invites and ceremony leaflets) in Canva.
Darron Stuurman at Eye for Design printed and put the leaflets together.
Alden and I love dancing and we don't mind being the only one's on the dance floor.
All we did was create a Spotify playlist with all our favourite songs (separated by canape and dancing vibes) and it was such a jol!
