Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. It was very emotional as i was not sure how i would walk down the aisle not having my dad to walk by my side as he passed away 8 years ago. I was truly blessed to have my mom on one side and my uncle (my dads brother) on the other side to keep me up, and the most incredible man who i now get to call my husband waiting for me at the end. Every moment was a highlight, and with it being a very small intimate wedding we had all the precious people in our lives present. We also had an a glimpse of something incredible.... as mentioned in the comments to follow we told our Pastor to just do the sermon according to what he feels in his heart, and as mentioned it was everything we wanted and more, as without us knowing he started singing "amazing grace".... which was the song that played on my fathers funeral. It brought tears to my eyes knowing that my dad was right there by our sides all the way. The most special highlight and memorable moment was Michael's tears in his eyes when he saw me walking towards him, and i could see i truly took his breath away and he of course looked extremely handsome. His speech was definitely also something i will never forget, and our photographer actually managed to add a part of his speech in our wedding highlight clip.
We stayed in Plettenberg Bay for a couple of days, but planning on going on honeymoon in September this year.
My entire wedding look was created exactly as i wanted it, from the incredible wedding dress from Bridal Emporium Bloemfontein, to Lovisa for my beautiful earrings, and my special bracelet from my now husband. My incredible makeup and hair artist Wilna Allpass made me look like a princess and i felt like the most beautiful thing in the world. She is incredible and her work is one in a billion.
We got married at the beautiful Oubaai Hotel, Golf and Spa in Herolds bay, George. The hotel accommodated all our guests traveling from near and far which was exactly what we had planned. We wanted everyone together.
For all of the above, we used JF Exclusive Events. We truly worked side by side with the owner and event stylist Johnny Ferreira. He made sure that everything we wanted was in place and exactly how we wanted it. We had no worry on the day as he made sure everything was ready for our special day.
Pastor Innes Benade was our Marriage Officer. He was amazing. We spoke to him and met him once as he lives in George and us in Bloemfontein. He asked if we wanted him to say anything specific and we said no, we wanted him to bless us with his message and it was so special and exactly what we wanted.
Our special day was captured by the incredible photographer Ruan Redelinghuys. He is amazing and truly captured every moment. He goes above and beyond and we are so lucky that we could have him capture our special day.
Oubaai Hotel made all the food as well as our wedding cake as per how we wanted it. The food was delicious and there was a big variety for everyone.
JF Exclusive Designs took care of all of this as well.
The receptions was amazing, from the first welcome as Mr & Mrs Botha, right until the end. Everyones speeches were truly special and we enjoyed every moment. We had a Dj which was also arranged by JF Exclusive Designs. We loved our first dance, and we did not need to take classes as i love dancing and have been a dance instructor for a couple of years, although i just do it now for fun. The song we chose had us both in tears every time we listened to it. It was "Conversations in the dark - John Legend". Everyone had so much fun until early in the morning:)
