My husband and I did go on honeymoon. We spent four days in Cape Town before we adventured to one of our dream holiday destinations for a week - the Maldives.
We had the privilege of getting married at the Four Seasons Hotel, The Westcliff, Johannesburg.
With most of our guests living and residing in Pretoria or Johannesburg, many decided to drive home. However, some guests did book into the gorgeous hotel and stayed overnight, joining us for a beautiful morning breakfast overlooking the beautiful city of Johannesburg.
My inspiration and vision was most certainly ‘modern, minimalistic’. With this being said, I did not incorporate many different flowers and elements as I loved the idea of a lot of candles and mirrors reflecting the candlelight. I love roses and gyp and incorporated the two on my special day.
All guest tables had a variety of different shapes of vases and candles all on top of a mirror table with white roses. While the main table had a big gyp cloud ‘floating’ off the front of the table with an abundance of candles both in front of the gyp and surrounding us, the couple.
This was all rented from Funxion Fusion. Miguel was absolutely incredible throughout the process and made my vision come to life. I couldn’t have asked for better - he is certainly the best in the business.
Our marriage officer was Reverend Trevor Slade. Trevor was absolutely incredible and really took time and effort to get to know us as a couple prior to our special day. We instantly connected with him and felt so comfortable his presence. He delivered a beautiful and personal service on the day and looking back, we couldn’t have asked for anyone better.
We did not have a planner help coordinate the day however, we were blessed with Franck from the Four Seasons Hotel who stepped in as a saving grace throughout the whole process and ensured that all details leading up to the day were recorded and carried out.
We did not necessarily require wedding transport as we stayed at the hotel the day before the wedding and got ready on the day in the hotel’s beautiful presidential suite - a few metres away from where our ceremony and reception took place.
JP Design did an absolutely incredible job with our stationery for the day. They created beautiful welcome boards, seating charts and gorgeous menu’s for each of our guests.
Jax was absolutely incredible and professional through it all and was willing to go the extra mile to send proof’s and ideas to make the choosing process easier. I highly recommend her and her team!
