Our most memorable moment was seeing all our friends and family come together to celebrate our love and commitment to one another.
Our honeymoon was local due to the threat of covid. However we had the most amazing honeymoon at Imbali Lodge in the Kruger Park
Form the start of planning I knew I wanted my wedding and wedding look to be different from the norm, I have always loved black so I decide to go with a full black wedding dress, a black pearl veil and black shoes. Because my dress made such a statement I chose for my hair to be a simple sleek bun and my jewellery to be just as simple so my black dress could be the statement.
We had our dream wedding at the beautiful Shepstone Gardens venue.
Our guested did stay the night at the Holiday Inn Sunnyside a short drive from Shepstone Gardens
I decided I would change very little in my daily routine leading up to the wedding, I didn’t want to change anything in fear of making problems where there were none
Our vision for our wedding was to create the ultimate black and white feel, our guests had to wear full white whilst my husband and I wore full black. We wanted the same dramatic effect for our flowers and decor, we had one table that sat all our guest, our flowers, which were sprayed white and black sat on mirror table runners and were black on one side and white on the other side, we had an array of candles and candle holders as well black and white hanging flower installations. We had clear glass plates with a black napkin, black menu and black name tag sat on a white table cloth. To top our look off we had black ghost chairs.
As for the main table we couldn’t have black due to us being dressed in full black so our florets created a stunning babies breath installation that framed the main table along with glass cylinders filled with white and black candles.

Both the groom and the groomsmen found their suits from Woolworths, Woolworths has affordable and very good quality suits.
My bridesmaids wore a satin slip dress from Sew Couture, I wanted my bridesmaids dresses to be simple yet elegant and make a statement.
Our wedding officer was my parents neighbour, I grew up with his children. It was nice having someone so close to us marry us
Our amazing photographer was RDK photography, we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer, Renske understand our vision and captured everything moment spectacularly.
Our videographer was Cinastage, along with RDK we couldn’t have had a better and stronger team behind us to capture our beautiful day!
Cinastage captured our day in the most in incredible way, we wanted our photographer and videographer to understand our wedding was going to be different and embrace that, and both RDK photography and Cinastage understood that and gave us beautiful memories that will last a life time.
Our wedding package came with a wedding planner. Jessica from Shepstone Gardens, she was truly incredible and helped so much along the way.
We didn’t have much wedding transportation, however after the wedding we did hire a bus to transportation our guests from the venue to the hotel.
Our food caterer for the wedding was “Howie on a Harley” he was absolutely amazing and our food at the wedding was nothing short of incredible.
He made sure the food on the day match our amazing wedding and it was spectacular.
My gran and my sister made our wedding cake, they made a vanilla wedding cake covered in black butter cream icing and decorated with white orchids.
