Lauren Wolff

Married on Dec 6, 2022 in Western Cape

Magical Moments

I pre-recorded myself singing the song I walked down the aisle to but kept it a secret from everyone. The moment my husband heard my voice and his own name in the song, the tears couldn’t be stopped.
The other highlight of mine was just having the most incredible live filled day and absolute party with everyone there.

The Honeymoon

Yes! We went to Bali, Indonesia.

My Special Day

My husband is Spanish and I wanted to bring a Spanish vibe! My makeup and hair gave off a classic Spanish vibe finished with red lips. My wedding dress took a very modern turn, with an ivory Daria Karlozi and a sparkle glitter cathedral veil. I struggled to find the perfect shoes but finally found square heeled, crystal beauties from Steve Madden - but not in the colour I dreamt of. I found leather paint and hand painted them from nude to a brilliant red. My earrings and bracelet were Lovisa.

The Venue

Belair Pavillion. We had our close friends and family stay at the venue with us for the night, so the evening ended with those closest to us before we went to our rooms. Other guests stayed at surrounding wine farms, while those from further afield caught the shuttle we arranged.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I was sick and writing exams for a month and a half before the wedding, so my fitness regime went out the window. I had my teeth cleaned at JJs Dentistry and had a string of facials at Dr Nerina Wilkinson and Associates.

Wedding Elements

My colour scheme was primarily red with a foliage background, which was accompanied by some supporting orange and yellow. The colours were bright and beautiful. Heike Hayward (Fleur le Cordeur) sprinkled her magic all around. In & Out events handled the lighting as well as the couches and cabanas. ST Plant hire populated the pre drinks outside area with beautiful potted plants. I went and chose the underplates from the Mervyn Gers ceramics factory and also went about getting custom napkins. I asked my talented sister in law to design our napkins using some of her artworks and then went and had them printed at ORMS on a beautiful off-white material. Lastly, our beautiful welcome sign/seating chart and table numbers were preserved flowers in our colour pallete, preserved between two panels (done by the talented Zoe Poate - Lou Lou Flower Studio)

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom wore a tailored suit from Tiger of Sweden in a light beige with matching suspenders. The groomsmen wore black suits with matching wooden bow-ties. The “man of honour/bridesman” wore a navy blue suit as well as a bow tie and pocket square I hand-made with off-cuts from my bridesmaids dresses.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I chose the dress design and spoke to a close family friend who is a genius with fabric. I chose satin with 5 different colour gradients from brilliant red to orange to yellow. She sewed them by hand and to my girls’ measurements. The open back design was paired with a beautiful high pony and soft makeup look, together with cute matching flower earrings from Lovisa
Additionally, I had custom robes in brilliant red made for each of them by Kayel couture, which they got ready in.

Marriage Officer

Deon Goldie was the officiant.

My Captured Moments

Kobus Tollig snapped shots all day and he went above and beyond. We had the most fun with him and the pictures are like a dream. Our videographer was Vizion videography (Kat Willemse) and we’re so happy we chose to get videos of the special day!

The Wedding Planner

We made use of Trunk Events for planning and coordination.

Food & Cake

Matt from the Flying Pan created the most delicious vegan harvest table and main meal. The wedding cake was a delicious vegan caramel popcorn cake made by Crb Cakes. Additionally, we hired the Unframed Ice Cream cart with four flavour potions. Lastly, we had a coffee counter set up with Beano coffee, to keep everyone going!

The Reception and Entertainment

My husband and I took dance lessons for one month before the wedding at the Jacques Carstens Dance Studio. We had the most incredible vibe with Dario Leite as the DJ! And the song I had pre-recorded was done with the help of Soundborough Studios.
