Quinten and I officially met last year, 1 February 2020 in Hartbeespoort.
Little did I know I was his primary school crush.
I was involved with somebody at this point and wasn't open to exchange numbers, he improvised and added me on Facebook.
After numerous attempts and 'serenading' voice notes on Facebook I gave in and we started chatting.
We clicked instantly, dated for a month and then lockdown hit.
As we lived in different provinces there was little hope for our recently started relationship to survive lockdown. He wasn't going to let lockdown get in the way, spend hours on the phone, days trying to make some sort of plan to see me.
His efforts paid off and I knew that I have met the guy I have been wanting for, for the past 30 years.
I arranged our first couple shoot on 1 November 2020, he was secretly planning a surprise proposal which I now have on video and the most beautiful photos of.
We are only starting our lives together, but can't wait for forever with my man...
