One of my highlights was seeing my handsome husband while I walked down the aisle. Another highlight was how stunning I looked. My hair, nails, makeup and my dress, it all came together better than I expected. Our reception and our cake was a highlight for us both. Our day overall was perfect. We had some interesting memories like my garter fell off my leg after the ceremony as I got into the car, I had confetti stuffed in my boobs and lastly our first dance turned out better than we had practiced. It was a beautiful day.
Yes we did. We started in Stellenbosch and then Kogelberg Nature Reserve. We then went to Mossel Bay and Knysna and ended off in Oudtshoorn.
My look overall was elegant. I had soft loose curls/waves with a hairpiece. My nails were white and nude ombré with details on the ring fingers. My makeup was soft but still with some bold lashes and brows. My earrings were gold with diamanté’s in a shape of the drops. My shoe was nude with the heel and there broad straps full of diamanté’s. My dress was ivory with some beading and a long laced train (Maggie Sottero). I had a white laced garter on with white laced panty and a nude bra with transparent straps. My veil was short and had a plain curvy pattern at the bottom

Brides of Somerset is run from a studio with a relaxed cosy atmosphere enabling the Bride to select her gown from a wide range of imported dresses.
We got married at Belhar Methodist Church and had our Reception at Hudson’s On Vredeheim Wine Farm. Our guests did not stay over.
I drank lots of water and did as many skin care routines as possible. I went for a spa treatment the weekend before my wedding and it much needed. I went to Aurora Skin and Spa at Century City for my treatment.
Our reception was absolutely amazing. We partially did our Decore ourselves and the rest we hired from the venue itself. We had a background wall banner from Exquisite Bannerwalls. Our flowers were supplied by Moondrops. Our Decore was pretty simple yet elegant. It incorporated our wedding colours which were burgundy and navy blue with a hint of gold. At the reception we had round tables with white table cloths and chairs accompanied with Crystal glassware, silver cutlery and gold underplates. Our centerpiece consisted of a wooden disc with one burgundy bottle, one gold bottle and one navy blue bottle on top of the wooden disc. One two of the bottles had flowers in and the other had the table number. The wooden disc was surrounded by greenery and candles. Our main table was a wooden rectangular table with the navy blue cloths drapped over the table. We had a longish flower arrangement with candles on the table and lanterns on the floor. Our table seating and welcome sign was on stands. We had a lounge area with couches.
The groom and groomsmen all had navy blue suits on but the groom had a black collar with black shoes and a black tie. The groomsmen had red ties with brown shoes on. The groom got his suit at Smart Suit Hire and the groomsmen got their suits at Mr. Suit Hire.
The bridesmaids all had long burgundy dresses with no sleeves and sequins on top. We had the dresses made with BeStyle

Tyrique Slingers from Vision Photography captured our beautiful and special moments. We had no videography but we had a photobooth with printed images for our guest favours. Mirror magic photobooth did an amazing job.
We did not have a planner to assist us with planning our wedding, my husband and I planned everything on our own. Our venue had a coordinator which made things easier at the venue her name is Penny Brown and she was such a star.
We had three white Mercedes Benz. The one car was a friends and the other two for the bridal party were hired by Laurels Car Hire.
Hudson’s our venue prepared our canapés as well our three course meal and it was amazing. Our stunning cake was made by the lovely Angie Gerber of baked_byangie.
Tarren Adriaanse designed our save the dates of which we had a calender letting. My husband designed our invitation website. Keshia Africa designed our table seating and I designed our table numbers. Minuteman Press printed all our stationary.
Our first dance we prepared and practised based on a YouTube video and the music was played by my our DJ, DJ Oscar Linnert. For the canapés we had soft music played by our venue and for the rest of the evening our DJ played some great music.
