My highlight of my wedding was walking down the aisle and looking up at my husband to be overwhelmed with emotions. The tears were streaming down his face. It was the most surreal moment of my life and the fact that I was going to marry the man of my dreams right there and then. Its was and will forever be my most memorable and most loved moment of my life.
My husband and went on honeymoon the day after we got married. We headed to Amacasa Cottages , thee most gorgeous place we have both been to.
My wedding look I was going for was something I wished for l since I was a little girl , I wanted the princess look , I added the bell sleeves that were my favourite part of my dress. My hair and make up I wanted as natural as possible but I wanted my eyes to pop so I asked my lash technician to fill them up as much as possible. My wedding day shoes , I was a little worried about wearing heels so I went with a very plain white wedge shoe. As for my jewellery , all extremely sentimental pieces to me , my bracelet is W.W.J.D and every women in my family has one , my wedding ring was passed down to me by my gran and with that I added diamonds from a ring my mom had given to me , my wedding band was a surprise to me which I was given the morning of my wedding that my family had got together and made for me. Might I add that my husband designed my wedding ring and he blew me out the park with it. Lastly my lingerie was all a surprise gift that my girlfriends had bought me and gifted to me on my bachelorette party.

We got married at the beautiful Thorner Country Estate. We had only our families and close friends stay over which was at the venue itself.
My decor look I wanted was elegant yet simple , not very over the top with flowers either but I wanted enough for guests to be taken back with my decor and flower arrangement choices. My focal point with my decor was definitely the tables and self made thank you gifts and the focal point with my flowers was my stunning bouquet. The colours that I chose were sage green , white with a touch of gold here and there.

They wore the traditional black suits but the groom was in a all black suit. They then finished the suits off with a piece of baby breath pinned to their suits. We hired these suits from a place called Suit Yourself. Very helpful and knowledgeable gentleman that works there.
I did not have any bridesmaids but infact had 4 little flower girls who were so very helpful with me on my wedding day , it really warmed my heart. I got their dresses made by the lady that made my wedding dress. Their dresses were a white top with lace and sleeves to their elbows with an attached sage green puffy skirt that draped down to the floor and was also made to fit the princess look of my dress. Finished off with a satin sage green belt and white takkies. They look divine.
My marriage officer was Mike Alexander who owns his own company called Marriage For Life.
Cheney from Blissfully Yours and Shaun Tarr as my videographer could not have captured my day any better. My video and pictures take my breath away every time I look at them. They are such an awsome duo team. I'm very camera shy but they both made me feel super comfortable. They were magic. I could not recommend them enough.
I did not have any planner to plan my day and everything leading up to the day. I did it all on my own , it was stressful at times but my word was it so worth it. I was proud that I had mangeded everything to do with my wedding as it turned out exactly what I was hoping it would be.
I designed all that we needed but I had taken all my ideas to Bizlink in hillcrest where they perfected and printed it all out for me.
Our reception naturally was full of emotion. From tummy aching laughter to tears of loved ones that were no longer with us and family across the world that were unable to make it due to covid. It was still in all its glory such a wonderful reception. We didn't take any dancing lessons , my husband and I just winged it and had a good laugh while doing so. The one thing I was dead set on the moment I got engaged was that I needed KZN Wedding DJ - Jarryd Sunkel at my wedding doing what he does best. He became a dear friend of mine and his lovely wife Emma who runs the photo booth that I was lucky enough to have at my wedding , what a huge hit that photo booth was WOW !! Jarryd and Emma made my wedding day , now this is also a team that I will recommend to anyone and everyone ALWAYS.
