Just waking up in the morning knowing that this is My special day where I am changing my last name on this day was absolutely magical. The day was perfect and everything went as planned. Seeing my "future husband" at the altar was special to me especially seeing him tear up.
We did not go on honeymoon as we thought that we would go now in December but things changed and we are spending Christmas with my new In-Laws. So no, not yet, But we do plan to, as it is a part of the tradition that we are living up to.
I wore a old/new modern intake on a vintage wedding dress which was lacey and puffed out at the bottom. My hair was tied up just to keep it neat and tidy on my special day. My makeup made me absolutely glow on my wedding day and I felt extremely comfortable in my own skin. I felt Beautiful !!! The lingerie that I wore was lacey and had my new surname embroidered on them for our special evening on the wedding day. The Jewelry that I wore were earrings that my husband had bought as a wedding gift to me that i wore on the wedding day, which actually complimented my nails that i had done as well as my eye shadow. The Wedding Dress I bought at a place called Casa Blair
We got married in Port Elizabeth at a wedding venue called La Colline. The venue is really magical and I would suggest it to any couple that is getting married. Our guests did not stay the night, but some of them did stay in a BnB.
For Our Bridal Beauty we went to the Sunbed which a woman owns here in Port Elizabeth. Her name is Jackie. We went for a couple of sessions in order to get that Tan on and it was absolutely incredible. It definitely works and i would recommend doing it.
We had cream Table Cloths which had a vintage pattern that was embossed onto it, We had Flowers draping/cascading from a the center piece on our tables. On the main table we had blowers that draped off the table on the sides and front. We had pennygums, mixed with babys breath as well as some roses and some sea holly. The flowers and decor was from Floral Creations by Lynley Cousins, and the Stage and Lighting was by Magnetic Storm.
Our Marriage officer was Mark Eric Upman
Ron Harding Captured Our Special Day as well as took the most incredible Video. We are so grateful to have such amazing photographs and would go back to him any day for more photoshoots to come.
No we did not have a planner and basically planned everything ourselves except the arrangements of tables and flowers.
I got picked up in a Mercedes to arrive at the venue, but leaving the venue I had my mom take us back to the hotel where we were staying.
The lovely food was prepared by La Colline Wedding Venue. The cake was made by a friend of mine.
My Husband Designed everything and he printed it at Deltar. My Husband is a Photographer himself and has done many Graphic Designing work, So he knows how to design things, luckily.
