We had a lot of hiccups leading up to our special, between one of my bridesmaids getting covid a week before, and not being ble to stand by my side for the wedding, to a lot of family members being stuck overseas with covid regulations, to having to cut our guest list in half with covid restrictions and not wanting to risk another change in these restrictions, to service providers letting me down the day before the wedding, while I was making my cake, to having to shuffle our guest list due to guests contracting covid...but I remember waking up the morning of the wedding, so excited, that nothing else mattered anymore. I was getting to marry my best friend, and that was all that mattered. We spent the most beautiful day, with our nearest and dearest, and laughed until our stomachs hurt. I literally couldn't have imagined a more amazing and perfect day.
We went to Pumba private game lodge
We got married at Pinetown Catholic church, and had our reception at Willow Way Manor. Some of our guests found accommodation near the reception venue, but most drove home.
Our reception venue has the most beautiful tables and chairs, so all we really did was add floral, done by Flowers by Leigh, who out together the most amazing arrangements of pennigum, baby's breathe and a few dusty pink roses. We had some lawn games that we made, and we had a photobooth arch made from wood, with some props, so people could use it to take photos at their own leasure, as well as the table photos. We got some sparklers for a very cool group photo.
My bridesmaids had dusty pink dresses from Bride and Co, and white supergas so they could be comfy all day.
Our priest, Father Michael
Wild Olive Photography took our amazing photos, and they also did our table photos with our props we had, under the wooden arch.
No, my husband and I had so much fun planning our wedding, and setting everything up, together.
One of my parents friends, has a beautiful red Audi, that she drove my dad and I to the church in, and she drove my husband and I to the reception venue too.
Our sound and lighting was done by dj Kyle, and my husband and I just practiced our song the day before the wedding, and just decided to enjoy each moment, instead of planning too much.
