I met my husband at a youth group when I was only 15 years old. My husband was 17 at the time. The night we met we both went home and simultaneously got confirmation from the Lord that we were going to get married someday. We shocked a tone of people because of how young we were, and the fact that we were talking about getting married one day, and everyone thought we still have to "live single lives first". Needless to say, we pursued one another every day with our whole hearts, regardless of what people said. We shared laughter, stories, and many many adventures. We even started a photography & videography company together when I was merely 18 years old, and we live out our passions together by working together. On my 19th birthday my husband asked me to marry him. I couldn't say yes fast enough! 5 months later I married my best friend, protector, and soulmate. We couldn't be more in love. May this be a testimony to trust the Lord, and to love one another with every fibre of your being!
It was the eve of my 19th birthday. My "boyfriend" (now my husband) and his family were supposed to come have dinner at my parents house that night to celebrate my birthday. A few minutes before they should have arrived, my husband phoned my mother, and asked her if she could please bring me to his parents house - he had something to show me. I tried with everything in me not to get too excited because I wasn't sure whether or not he was going to propose that night. As we drove up to his parents house, I saw the massive acorn tree in their backyard was lit up with fairy lights. I suddenly realised what was about to happen and started sobbing. We had waited so long to get to this point, where we could finally get engaged, and soon after that get married. As I walked around the corner, I found my husband waiting for me under the magical acorn tree. He got down on one knee, and asked me to spend eternity with him. I flung my arms round him and said "Yes, a thousand times yes!" That night was so perfect, it still feels like a dream. I'm so thankful I get to spend every day with the man of my dreams.
