Rudi and I had such a wonderful day, it truly was the best day of our lives. We had so much fun, and everything was absolutely perfect to us: the food, atmosphere, the people. We are so happy and fortunate to have shared our special day with our closest family and friends.
Rudi planned our honeymoon in secret. We had originally planned to return to Norway, but the pandemic threw a spanner in the works!
We left the day after our wedding on a local road trip: Midlands, Drakensberg, Clarens and Ballito to close out our honeymoon before returning home.

I had my hair dyed and cut about two weeks before the wedding at my local hairdresser. I changed my skincare routine a few months before the wedding, in consultation with Hey Gorgeous (take their online quiz to speak with a consultant - https://hey-gorgeous.co.za/ ).
I made the conscious decision not to try to lose excessive weight, or change my fitness routines - I wanted to look like myself on my special day!
My husband and I both love the outdoors, and we both wanted an intimate setting for our guests. We used different vaieties of eucalyptus leaves, and a variety of white flowers. Lots of candles, and soft lighting made the room look like a magical forest.
Cecile from Function Foods on the North Coast helped make our dreams come true - she was in charge of the decorating and setup of our venue. All floral arrangements were managed by her and her team, including mine and my bridesmaids' bouquets.
My husband is a no-nonsense man when it comes to his fashion decisions - he decided on a plain white button up shirt from Old Khaki, and grey trousers from Woolworths.
He decided to buy shoes that he could wear often after our wedding, so he opted for "vellies": https://vellieboutique.co.za/collections/veldskoen/products/the-farmer-veldskoen-heritage-grey-sole
Rudi's groomsmen (all three his brothers), also wore button up shirts from Old Khaki, and light grey trousers from Woolworths. Each groomsmen received a funny pair of socks to wear from Typo.

Would highly recommend our photographer, beautiful, natural photos, and made us both feel comfortable.
I did not have an official coordinator to help with the wedding. Most of the planning and arrangements was done by myself, my MOH, mom and husband.
The Crooked Fork who works with our wedding venue, Maroupi.
I designed the stationery, with a lot of help from my MOH.
There were some laser cut signs that we had made for the wedding, which I designed as well. Done by: Serendipity Frameworks
