Everything were just so special, we had to postpone our wedding, so to actually see it happening were just amazing.
We were originally suppose to marry on the 26 of September 2020, but due to covid had to postpone it.
So when it actually arrived the second time around, I surprised myself with all the calmness I felt, I am not usually so calm, but I just felt so calm and happy that day. My one bridesmaid couldn't make it because she had Covid so we video called through all the getting ready moments and the rest of the bridemaids made sure when I had my dress on she were on video call, so that was special.
Everything were just so perfect, I wouldn't want to change a thing.
Loved every minute of it.
We did a short two nights away. We stayed at Blue Crane Lodge, did the Canopy tours at Grabouw. Then about two weeks later, we did a tour through Namibia.
My wedding look, oh so special.
My hair were just a normal bun in my neck with a pearl clip.
My dress were so special, I never thought about wearing something like it, but when I first went for my fitting and fitted the sample dress, I just felt so special, so I just chose it. It had a low back with a lace front. The romper part had a wonderful and soft dotted lace. Robyn Roberts were the phenomenon behind the dress.
My jewelery were droplet pearl earings from Eden and Co. My braclets were a pandora braclet I received from my mom on the day. The other braclet is one my maid of honor and I both hace since we were 8, her mom gave us both one back in the day, it was my something old.
I had this vintage fur jacket my mother in law let me borrow for the cold, it belonged to her grandmother, that was so special and perfect.
We got married in the NG Church in Bredasdorp.
Our reception was on Inhoek Farms in Arniston.
I didn't follow a specific beauty regime.
I kept on training in the gym as per usual and also jogged some days.
I definitely did not follow any diets, not very good at following diets.
I did went for a few chemical peels to have a bit more glowy skin.
My uncle, who is a dentist, helped me with some teeth whitening.
Yes, did a few here and there but not a lot.
My decor were very simple.
I love autumn colours, so went for alot of greenery. My tables were simple wooded tables provided by the venue, with greenery, pennygum, runners, white candles and glass underplates and simple white plates and silvery. Each chair were a different styled chair, so pretty.
We had some fairylights around the tent which covered the patio outside, that were used as the dance floor.
We had a memorial table, with family loved ones we lost over the years, with some candles.
We went a bit authentic, we did not have tables numbers but rather went with something special for the my husband, we used different breeds of sheep for the names of the tables.
The groom had a bottle green blazer, with normal chino pants. He had a leather tie and white shirt.
We did the same shoe thing for all the guys.
All the guys including my husband wore veldskoen shoes, with green soles. We had my dad embroid a kudu head with our original date 26 Sept 2020 on the shoes.
The groomsmem had chino pants, white shirts and leather bow ties, made by Indalo leather in Paarl.
My bridesmaids all wore a emerald green wrap dress, with freshwater pearls for earings, and nude or leather heals.
It was so special, because our marriage officer was my Cousin, Ds Robert-John de Kock.

We used an old Land Rover Defender, we borrowed from a friend of ours.
Our caterer were JD de Villiers (Spitmaster).
Elana Human made our Cake, also a family friend of my husband.
We didn't do stationary.
We only used a laser engraved wooden board for the guest list and table placings.
We did not take any dance lessons, we actually just did a quick dance on our song the Sunday before the wedding week at home.
DJ Wico Smit was our DJ. Absolutely amazing, he just knew precisely what kind of music to play. Reads the crowd so well.
