We had initially planned our wedding in 2020 but because of Covid we eventually postponed it to 2021. We had a wonderfully warm day in May with beautiful weather as it was now a winter wedding instead of an end of August wedding.
Our décor was particularly memorable and we had an outdoor ceremony. My entrance song was especially written for me by one of the boys I teach, a beautiful piano melody.
I had bought my dress from Bride and co. It was a simple and elegant design with a stunning bodice embellished with beadwork and a cut out design at the back.
My veil was my mothers but the head piece was worn by 3 generations, my grandmother , mother and myself.
I had beautiful silver sandles for my ceremony and then changed into blue flower sneakers for the reception.
Elrike van der Linde from Canvas Make-Up & Airbrush Artistry did an amazing up do with my hair which was blue and purlple.
Danell Grech did my makeup which was absolutely stunning and stayed perfect for the whole day.
We got married at Waterfall Cove River Edge Venue in Muldersdrift. A lovely peaceful venue which has an indoor chapel as well as 2 outdoor chapels.
We had abot 60 guests . 21 guests stayed over at the venue and we all had breakfast together the next morning.
Décor was provided by the venue . Our colours were teal, purple, black and white. Lots of glass, flowers, pearls , crystals and candles.
Flowers were by Fields of Colour. We had white and purple tulips, white roses, and dendrobium orchids.

Groom and groomsmen wore black suits, with black shirts and fedora hats. The groom had teal blue tie and suspenders and the groomsmen had purple ties and purple suspenders.
All suppled by Bride & Co
My bridesmaids were dressed in purple dresses in the style that they were each comfortable in.
They were made by "The Maiden" in Centurion which has since become an online store. They really were helpful and efficient.
Our marriage office was Tyronne Eilenberg.

We did have a photo booth which was a lot of fun.
Food was provided by Waterfall Cove.
Our wedding cake was 2 layers one of passionfruit and the other an orange flavour made by Blessings Bakery.
We did an online wedding invite with Joy.com designed by the groom, Frik
Frik also designed the table numbers , meal menu and the label for our gifts to the guests.
We did take dance lessons from Fred Astaire , which really helped us. We had 10 lessons.
