We went on honeymoon to the beautifull Buff ‘n Fellow, situated near George.
The privacy and breathtaking nature made it so surreal and so very memorable!
I wanted to go for something that is me - no heavy make up, no wild hair. I asked for classic and natural and I absolutely got it.
My dress was pure white, from Special Occasions in Bellville. I think the best feeling was the whisper of my husband when my father gave me of “this dress love”. I opted for comfortable jelly wedge heels from Whimsical Bridal and they were so comfortable!
My hair and make up was so very natural and elegantly done by Marike from @To be. Hair and Makeup and wow! She made it so easy for me and my wedding party to just show up and look stunning.
We got married on the beautiful Natte Valleij Wine Estate, situated in Klapmuts. There was overnight accommodation available for most of our wedding party, on the venue grounds, as well as more farms situated around within 1 KM from the farm. Really made for an easy and fun reception
Because we got married in the winter in Cape Town we opted for decor and flowers that wil bring a bit of warmth in - burgundy, navy, lights, pink and wooden accessories. Marilise Summers honestly made the atmosphere so warm with the flowers and decor and furniture pockets that we honesrly forgot it was cold outside.
Our reverend was Ds. Fanie from Paarl.
He spoke so very true to the both of us that getting married felt like we were renewed. He was so spontaneous and so fun that you forgot for a second that he is actually preaching, his message was extremely well delivered and something we will never be able to forget. He even made a joke while we were exchanging rings, told me I had the wrong hand - i absolutely fell for it! Really had everyone laughing and feeing a lot of love in the room.
We had the absolute best photographers and videographers- Booyzen Photography & Dynamite Productions.
Gavin from Booyzen made it so easy to be ourselves, we forgot we were being filmed and photographed most of the time. His words before we went out for our intimate photos “be inlove, soak up this moment” and from there is was just so beautiful and easy.
After our original vendor had to close due to Covid - we found Marilise Summers. And wow! They made everything so extremely easy. They did the decor, setup, bar service, waiters, flowers, co-ordination.. EVERYTHING! Marilise has alot of experience and I could honestly dial her up to ask general advise if certain ideas will work or won’t work- she was there to answer each question and concern we had and that was just the highlight for planning our wedding.
