Our day was a Pinterest wedding come true! Besides the surrealness of our day, and it being the most dreamy day I have ever imagined, it was the little things that made it so amazing. My dad fist-pumping someone down the aisle, my husband dropping my ring, me saying his name instead of ours, our epic entry song, and taking traditions away from our wedding day!
We escaped to Struisbaai and Bonnievale and it was better than any other holiday we have ever had!
My hair and makeup was classic, but so me! I went with classic curls to the side and of course, the full golden hour with the face! My shoes were beyond affordable, and my jewellery came from Lovisa. You don't need to spend thousands to get a beautiful look!
We said I do and partied the night away at Marlenique Estate in the Winelands. The rain held out for our ceremony on the lawns, surrounded by whimsical clouds and mountains. The bridal party stayed over at Station House, which is a little bit of Italy in South Africa, and we gave our guests a list of accommodation in the area to choose from.
Marlenique Estate is a beautiful, yet functional venue just outside Paarl in the Simondium area of the Cape Winelands on a working Citrus Farm.
In reality, I did the opposite of what any bride should do! I added a few sheet masks to my regular routine, but went big on the lashes and brows!
Our flowers and decor were everything I asked for and more! Naked bulbs, fairy lights, candles, cane furniture, and all the monstera leaves! To-Nett's went above and beyond bringing our venue to life, and everywhere you looked, you saw greenery and beauty

My husband decided to wear a light suit - oh so boujee - and white sneakers! While we went with emerald green pants and leather bow ties for the groomsmen to match the bridesmaids. Emerald green was the ideal shade for our decor, and venue.
I wanted my girls to be as comfortable as possible without having to spend a fortune. We stumbled across multi-way dresses and they were perfect! They were extra thick which was ideal for the weather. Truth be told, I originally wanted champagne dresses but I didn't want my girls to look washed out so we opted for emerald green instead! Wife Material ensured we had the dresses with ample time to allow for alterations, and was so helpful!
We searched and searched before we found Michelle Walker from Marriage Matters. She created the perfect ceremony!
Just Judy Photography captured everything about our wedding day and made it look even more like a fairytale than we ever expected! The more we look at the photos, the more we start looking for a reason to post them! Infinity Wedding Productions ensured every little moment that would make us laugh and cry in 10 years time was on film.
The venue manager at Marlenique was our on the day, but the rest we planned ourselves!
