Waking up to a sunny day was the beginning of one of the best days of my life. Having my three best friends (bridesmaids) in the room with me, was special - they kept my nerves at ease with a lot of small talk, lots of pampering and just the odd drop of champagne every now and then... My mom sells jewellery and my earrings for my wedding day had been selected months ago. What a surprise when she arrived during the course of the morning to deliver another, even more beautiful pair of earrings to round off my stunning wedding dress! And then when Dad arrived to see his girl.... I'll never forget the pride I saw in his teary eyes. This was definitely one of the most special moments - that is until I saw my husband to be!
We have not confirmed anything yet, as there is still a lot of uncertainty with regards to travel during Covid 19. We are dreaming of a holiday in Mauritius during June/July.

My wedding dress was rented from Tying the Knot Bridal Boutique . The off-white lining of the dress was changed to a taupe shade which suits my complexion better. Also, the whole of the back of the dress was changed into a very low cut open back.
My only jewelry was a pair of very elaborate earrings which my Mom got from Tying the Knot Bridal Boutique as a surprise wedding gift.
My future mother in law made me the most beautiful garter with French lace and added a touch of blue with satin ribbon.

Our color scheme was emerald green and white and we had a lot of glass, crystal, silver and candles. The wedding venue at Saronsberg is beautiful and we had to hire the bare minimum. Hiring of garden furniture to create seating pods, was from Baie Goeters. Fina Prinsloo from Wolseley did our flowers and décor. She visualized exactly what we had in mind and made my dream come true.

The groom wore a formal black suit which he got from Woolworths. The groomsmen wore grey suits which were hired from Mr Suit Hire in Cape Town.
The bridesmaids wore emerald green dresses which were bought two years ago and H & M.
Our marriage was conducted by Dr Francois Hanekom from Melkbosstrand.
Our special moments was captured by the very talented Nikkie Fivaz and our videography was done by Jaconette from Boland Weddings
My mom did a lot of the planning but we had a planner who assisted with printing and 'on the day coordination'. Her name is Robijn Benade from Ruby Bee Weddings & Events.
We had the most beautiful silver grey Bentley ("The Duchess") which belongs to a family friend, Richard Everingham. He drove the car all the way from Mtunzini in northern KZN down to Tulbagh.
The catering was done by Lizaan Groenewald from Lizaan se Kombuis. Our wedding cake was done by Anmar Van Wyk from DeKor
Our stationery was designed and printed by Ruby Bee Weddings & Events.
We took dance lessons for a couple of months before the wedding date. Our sound and lighting was done by DJ Marius Lambrechts
