We had the most amazing wedding day. From the early morning coffee with close friends to getting ready with my girls to walking down the aisle and celebrating with our friends and family. Some of the highlights for me include arriving at our ceremony in a donkey cart with my dad, seeing my groom peering through the trees to see me walking down the aisle, sharing communion and our first kiss as husband and wife and dancing the night away with our loved ones.
We were blessed to go on honeymoon for two weeks. We went to Sedgefield in the Garden Route where we spent our days doing things we have always wanted to do, like walking with elephants, doing a treetop canopy tour and just laying on the beach all day.
My hair and makeup was done by the amazing Almari from Hairstyling, Makeup & Photography by Almari. We went for an up-do with a braid and some flowers which matched the flowers used in my bouquet and on my tables. My makeup focused on my eyes with some gold and smokey tones.
My dress was made by Robyn Roberts Bridal. Robyn was absolutely amazing and made my wedding dress dreams come true. My dress had an illusion bodice with leafy and floral lace hand stitched onto the dress with a soft and flowy skirt and an open back. I would choose this dress over and over again.
My veil was designed and made by Cindy Bam. When I saw the misty rose gold veil I fell in love and it matched perfectly with the pink tones used throughout our wedding.
My shoes were ballerina pink Blu Betty Georgina pumps. I adore their shoes!! My husband wore their Blu Bert Lando vellies. Perfect for our forest wedding.
My rings were designed and made by the amazing Marion from Marion Rehwinkel Jewellery.
My earrings were purchased from Lovisa and the pearl bracelet was an heirloom from my Granny.
My garter and mask was also made by Robyn Roberts Bridal.

We got married at the spectacular De Uijlenes Old Barn and Forest venue. Some of our close friends and family stayed in the rooms available at the venue.

I had no specific beauty routine. I just made sure to follow a healthy diet, drink plenty of water and follow a daily skincare routine to keep my skin soft and blemish free.
All my flowers and décor were arranged by Carin from Carin Flowers and Décor. We had blush pink runners on our tables with a mixture of pink flowers in different pots. We also had navy candles and pink and navy serviettes. For ambiance we had naked bulbs hanging over our tables. Carin also organized lawn games for us and draped the arch in our ceremony area with blush pink draping and a mixture of flowers. We also had buckets of flowers down the aisle. I wanted a soft and romantic feel to our wedding and Carin exceeded my expectations by far! We could not have asked for better.
Our welcome boards and seating chart was a gift from my husband's uncle from Hoity Toity Laser Cutting and Engraving Rustenburg.
The groom wore a navy suit and white shirt from Woolworths. He also wore Blu Bert Lando Vellies.
The groomsmen wore navy chinos and white shirts from Woolworths.
The groom and groomsmens' ties were supplied by Knotted Ties.
The socks were from The Wedding Store.
The boutonnières were supplied by Oh Yay.
My bridesmaids and flower girl wore dresses designed and made by Hoiden Bridesmaids. Their earrings were bought at LE RU in Durbanville.
We were married by Pieta Wolfaardt from Vredelust Churchadventure.
Our AMAZING photos were taken by the super talented Coba from Coba Photography. She is unbelievably talented and she captured our day perfectly. We would pick Coba over and over again!! She is just incredible.
Our wedding video was filmed by Jacques from Guava Productions. He has made us the most amazing video which brings us to tears every time. We could not have asked for a better videographer.
Danelle du Toit was our on-the-day coordinator at De Uijlenes and she was everything we needed and more. She helped us with planning the day and she made sure everything on the day was perfect. She even made sure we had more than enough to eat and she was ready with a glass of water just before I walked down the aisle. We are forever grateful for her input in our day.

Theonie Blom Burger from Theonie Designs did all our stationary. She was amazing to work with and her designs are absolutely gorgeous. Her customer service was also superb. Nothing was ever to much to ask. All our stationary looked amazing!!
Our reception was the party of the year. U-one and Christelle from Southern Sound created the perfect vibe from the ceremony right through to our reception. The music was on point and our guests had a fabulous time. We are so thankful that we got to know Southern Sound and we hope to party with them some time soon!!
