Our wedding day was PERFECT! After a year of planning and covid stress thrown into the mix. We could not have asked for anything more except more time on the day. We did not have a theme as per say but we wanted the guest to feel connected to nature and our Fairytale Love. We wanted to make every single person at the wedding feel nothing but love. The love that we have for each other. The beauty of Magoebaskloof Forest was our inspiration.
We went to Cape Town for a few days. We stayed in Sea Point. Close to all the main attractions and fun activities the beautiful Western Cape has to offer. From Tabel Mountain to Cape Point. Catamaran cruise with dolphins and tequila.
My dress chose me. Hehe. I went with my friends to Bride & Co Rivonia. We each chose about 2 dresses and the sales consultant that assisted me selected this dress. I wanted to go for a more Boho style. But when I put my dress on and walked out of the fitting room and I actually looked at myself, I was speechless and I had my bridal moment! It was perfect. It was made for me. The style suited my personality and then we went for the classical look. Because of the beautiful design and back of my dress I decided to do the up style and let my dress do the talking.
My hair was done by my beautiful sister in law Cheryl Slabbert from Sneak Preview Hair Design in Parktown North.
Make up was done by a lovely lady with so much talent , Jana Pohl from Tzaneen
We got married at the most loving venue - Eden’s Gate Wedding Venue in the heart of Magoebaskloof. Tucked away in between the magical forest.
Our Guests stayed over for the weekend close to the venue.
I am not a very girly girl but I made sure that I had enough water leading up to the big day to ensure no stress related breakouts happen. I use my LumiSpa along with sheet face masks.
And of course, long bubble baths to calm the nerves and ease the stress away.
Our decor needed to pop with elegance and bring that classical romantic feeling. The teal and rose gold made our flowers and tables pop from the green forest.
The soft fairy lights added to the fairytale like feeling to our beautiful day.
The groom purchased his suite from Bride & Co Rivonia. His suite inspired the our color scheme and decor.
The groomsman needed to stand out in their own way but blend softly with the groom and bride.
They purchased their attire from Ackermans.
My bridesmaids wore the most beautiful, softest , elegant infinity dresses from a lady in Cape Town. The rustic orange copper worked perfectly with the groomsman and made my ladies pop from the forest.

Cinastage was our Videographer. And May I just say the best of their kind. An eye for detail and Zandre ensured that we have beautiful, amazing, gorgeous video memory of our big day!

Annchen from Eden’s Gate and her team prepared us the most delicious 3 course meal. See had played options for our guest that they selected before the wedding.
Our wedding cake was made by a young lady in Hoedspruit. Delicious red velvet cake.
My Mom, Sister and Main of Honor was in charge of our stationery with the help and guidance of Linda our decor specialist.
Myself and Devon have been together for over 9 years. We dis not need any dance lessons as our body’s and feet know what step to take and what glide to make.
Lightning and DJ was DJ Khan from Tzaneen. An in-house favourite for Eden’s Gate
