Everyone always says "it was the best day ever" and it's absolutely true. Words can't describe the feeling you have inside when you wake up that day. My most fond memory of my wedding day was the moments when my dad and my husband saw me for the first time in my wedding gown. It was so special and they had us all crying. I won't ever forget their faces. Just thinking of it now brings tears to my eyes.
Yes we did, we were away for a week and a few days, first half was a surprise for me from my husband and second half was a surprise for my husband from me. So my husband booked KolKol for 3 days and I took us to Wilderness Kaaimans River Villa. There after we went to Mosselbay for 2 nights.
Our theme was Bohemian. Hair was inspired by Bohemian look from Pinterest. For my wedding gown I thought I would go for something lace and loose fit but I chose something completely different to what I initially had in mind. That does happen apparently. So I went with an open back, ball-sh gown, I didn't think I would have ever chosen something like that but I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. I didn't have sleepless nights over my wedding gown, it was literally the 2nd store I visited and I had my dress. My wedding ring I had on Pinterest for quite some time and my husband had it made for me by Famke Jewellery and the only other accessory I had was something borrowed from my bridesmaid which was used in my hair, she wore it in her hair as well on her wedding day.

We got married at Cherry Glamping in Elgin. Fabulous place. It was a weekend wedding and our guest could stay over on site. Myself and my bridesmaid stayed at Inn on Highlands the Friday night, also in Elgin just a few minutes away from the venue. Great service on both venues.

I had pigmentation marks on my cheeks that was very dark so my friend, who has a beauty salon Beauty Ambition, suggested that I start using Regima range. It really worked and my marks are much lighter now. So glad I could do this before the wedding.
Our theme was Bohemian so we had a lot of pampas flowers all over combined with lots of dried out flowers like banksias, eucalyptus ext. Just to name a few. Ruby Weddings and Events was the amazing team behind all our flowers and some decor elements. Further we had Baie Goeters that brought in lights, chairs, placemats and some Malawian furniture.
We had an amazing team of providers.
Our gift to our guests was a vet plant from Die Vet Blaartjie and we had a coffee stand with coffee and muffins for them from The Bostom Boardroom.

The groom wore a green suit from Eurosuit which is part of Bride and Co with FOM vellies and a leather tie from Knapsak.
The groomsmen wore chino pants and white shirts from Woolworths and leather bow ties from Knapsak.
My bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their green velvet dresses which I got the inspiration from Pinterest. Christine Stander made their dresses for us. They had earrings from Swoon Accessories SA, who they decided to wear on the day.

The brilliant Kusjka du Plessis!! She was absolutely amazing and we loved her to bits. We enjoyed every moment with her and nothing felt like posed or uncomfortable. No we did not have a photo-booth but we did have a triangle arch with a mustard couch from Goeters that was basically a photo section where our guest could go to take some photos for the night.
Yes we did, the lovely Elke Lotter from Ehl.ka Creative. Don't know what we would have done without her.
Our food was amazing, our guest couldn't get enough. We were so lucky to find Belia King Catering to provide us with the most amazing dishes. Our wedding cake was made by our neighbor Gebak met liefde.
We had the amazing team from Elite Hospitality Management who treated us like gold. We had a sit down dinner so they served us whole night, and everyone raved about them. Our barmen was from Nomad Events Solutions and also a great team to work with.
I designed my own wedding stationery, my companies name is MC Designz. I had a welcome note in each guests tent at Cherry Glamping, invites, Menu's and a seating plan.
We did not take dance lessons. We had a DJ from DJ Dean company and the DJ of the night was DJ Andre. He sorted sound lighting.
