Being able to finally enjoy the day after our wedding was postponed in 2020. Having our closest friends and family there to enjoy the day with us and finally seeing it all come together.
We had a mini-moon where we stayed at different locations around Kruger National park. We would like to travel abroad so we are saving for that at the moment - That will be the ultimate honeymoon ;)
My hair, make-up and jewellery were kept simplistic due to my dress being so detailed. I had loose curles in my hair with parts of it tied back and rounded off with little white flowers. My dress was grey with white lace and was everything that I could possibly have dreamed of. I wanted something different and unique but something that still had that romantic feel to it. My shoes were medium wedges, with an open toe, that I bought from Aldo in Canal Walk. Lingerie was white, lace - from bras & things and my jewellery consisted of dainty leaf earings that I bought from Lovisa and a quaint bracelet from Bride & Co.

Groenrivier in Riebeeck West.
Yes, our guests stayed over - We made a weekend out of it.
Close family and friends stayed with us at Groenrivier - The rest all booked accommodation in Riebeeck West and Riebeeck Kasteel.
A wonderful country venue set in the heart of one of Cape's most beautiful valleys.
I didn't do anything specific. I just tried to eat healthily, do regular exercise, and avoid sugar. We did go for a spa treatment the week of the wedding for a hot stone massage but avoided facials so that our skin wouldn't break out.
Spa Treatment - Life Day Spa Canal Walk
Our decor was kept simplistic with wooden tables that consisted of a nude runner down the middle paired with floral arrangements and candles. The main table had a bit more floral elements compared to the guest tables - all with Edison bulbs hanging over each table to create an atmosphere. We had pallet furniture for the pre-drinks area and we had a few colourful lights put in for the dance floor that my husband arranged (He works for an events/lighting/sound company) so we could do that ourselves.

The groom and groomsmen all wore charcoal grey suits, which they rented from Bride & Co, paired with emerald green ties, greenery buttonholes, and brown shoes.

The bridesmaids wore long, Emerald green, dresses. One with lace and sleeves and the other with a halter neckline.
The halter neckline dress was ordered online and the lace dress was bought at a bridal shop. They each sorted their own dresses out.

Our photographers were AMAZING. We used Lilac Photography - a husband and wife duo who really captured our moments beautifully and made us both feel incredibly comfortable.
Our videographer was just as amazing - He is a friend of ours, Paolo van der Merwe, who created a long-lasting memory for us.
We did not use a photo booth - Instead, we printed an Instagram board, put a few props down, and let everyone take their own photos.
Yes we did - Elzahan from Le Fox Weddings.

We did not need wedding transport due to the fact that the ceremony, pre-drinks, and reception were all held at the same place.
Malita Joubert Catering did the food for us and it was beyond amazing.
Our wedding cake was made by a family member and consisted of 6 layers of sweety pies topped with a small chocolate cake at the top for us to cut.
I am a graphic designer so was fortunate enough to have done everything myself.
Designs - LC Design
Yes, we did take 4 dance classes before the wedding, just to gain some confidence.
Our sound and lighting was done by Intello Acoustics and our DJ was from Sound Print.
