The wedding day was filled with special highlights and we were blessed with fantastic weather.
Our ceremony took place in the Living chapel at Rosemary Hill, Pretoria, our wedding venue. The natural lighting beaming in through the leaves of the chapel and the natural greenery carpet made the ceremony so romantic. Sean shed a many tears as I walked down the isle and so did I. I was fixated on him the whole way down. We made a choice to write personal vows and it was truly one of my favourite moments of the day. You could feel the excitement in the air as we were announced husband and wife!.
We honestly couldn’t be more impressed with our photographer and videographer - their professionalism and general excitement for our wedding day was heartfelt and it can truly be seen in their work - Christiaan David and his wife Chanel were the perfect addition to our day and I would not have asked for a better team or better photos.
The reception venue couldn’t have been more perfect too. Our vision was to include natural with greens and white flowers, with a touch of gold.
The speeches from our close family were thoroughly enjoyed by all and made for the perfect start to the rest of the evening. Two of my most memorable moments of the reception was the dance with my dad and of course my hubby (which we made up literally 5 minutes before - but that's so us).
The rest of our night involved loads of champagne, laughs, dancing and good old fun with all our family and friends - can I do it all over again, pretty please?

Wedding Dress: Pronovias (Bridal Manor) - Dante
I knew the moment I fit my dress on that it was meant to be mine - it was the one dress my mom wanted me to desperately wanted me to try on and as I did I knew it was the one. I could not fault it. It was the prefect combination of sexy and romantic with the off the shoulder sleeves and a beautiful silhouette. I knew that the pure white was what I wanted to wear as it complimanted my skin tone.
Hair: Tamaryn Pretorius Hair and Make Up
I wanted my hair to still resemble me. Just curls was more me than a up style etc. as I never wear my hair that way. We decided to add the flowers on the day of the wedding - completely unplanned). It was because I remember always having a dream that when I get married I will have flowers in my hair. The other reason is that Sean always puts flowers behind my ear whenever he can.

This lady is a powerhouse when it comes to make up. She took my ideas and inspirations and brought them to life. She truly made me into the golden goddess I wanted to be <3

Where do I begin when it comes to where we got married! Rosemary Hill could not have been more perfect. We were sold the minute we walked into the viewing, that it was the place for us <3
Rosemary Hill caters for absolutely everything you need and more. They were prompt with responses and open to questions and special requests. Caryn and her team are exceptional.
We started our wedding weekend off with a braai with any guests staying on the farm. We had the entire braai area to ourselves and Rosemary Hill assisted us with everything! All we had to bring was or meat.
The accommodation has been upgraded since we first saw Rosemary Hill and all I can say is wow. All our guests were blown away by the accommodation. Do yourself a favor and go have a look and even a few nights there.
Caryn and the wedding team executed our day to the T and I could not fault them in any way. They truly listened to everything they wanted.

Health & fitness:
I did push myself quite a bit. I saw a trainer twice a week, did Ballet once a week and did fasted cardio as well as normal cardio most days. I saw a dietician to assist me with my eating as I truly struggle to lose weight generally.
Skin:
I made a conscious decision to take extra care of my skin about 6 months before my wedding day.
This included:

- I had a facial monthly with Nimue Peels by Kates Beautique in Johannesburg, Bryanston
- Religiously washed my make up off every night and also didn't wear any make up when I didn't need to
