Our wedding day was truly a celebration. Planning a wedding through the uncertainty of covid combined with some family losses and hardships,it was an event that everyone was excited for.Our day went off smoothly and we thankful that everything ran according to plan.I was the most relaxed bride as I was at total peace in stepping into the next chapter of our lives. With the overall excitement, walking down the aisle for us both, was an emotional and surreal experience. Each guest could not stop talking about how much our wedding day meant ..and the positive energy from the ceremony was present and felt from the beginning to the end.It truly was a day that will not be easily forgotten and it has certainly set the tone for our marriage which lays ahead.

Our overall colour theme for our wedding was navy and rosegold (I soon found out rosegold is not the easiest colour to coordinate) but everything fell into place and we made it work as best as we could.I wanted a classic, elegant yet sexy dress and my dress maker got it spot on! She took the idea I had from a picture I gave her, and she made it to suit me!.I can definitely say that I felt I wore the dress..the dress never wore me! My hair and make up was simple yet striking as I wanted to look like the best version of myself,enhancing my best features. My shoes had a glam effect with all the shimmer and I kept my jewelry simple as well. I also opted for a simple veil to complete my look.

Our wedding ceremony and reception took place at Barrique restaurant at Vredenheim estate in Stellenbosch. I highly recommend their services. The coordinators planned everything without us having to stress about anything and our food was amazing. It was not only a great service but great value for money! I slept over at the accomodation on the estate before the wedding day and the same suite doubled up as our honeymoon suite,whilst family stayed over at a stunning B&B 5 minutes away from the venue

I wanted my bridesmaids to look stunning, but also to feel comfortable and also to be able to choose a dress that flattered any body type. I therefore opted to go with an infinity style dress as they could also wear the dress again after the wedding
My flower girl is a real warrior princess..she is a cancer survivor...and I wanted a simple white dress to compliment the beautiful headband she wore to rock her crown of glory ...

We searched far and wide for a photographer. We were looking for someone who would capture great memories but also who takes quality photographs and we also looked within a reasonable budget as we knew this costs a pretty penny. We were blessed when our path crossed with Ashleigh Swartz... as not only has she captured great moments but her packages were beyond affordable. Ashleigh incorporated many factors into our photographs: She managed to incorporate the memory of my late mother in such a beautiful way as well as including our wedding party in precious moments. Ashleigh was also running a lock down special at the time of our wedding so we really scored in getting a great photographer at a great cost.
