We got married at the amazingly beautiful Highberry Wine Farm in Somerset West. Tim Parker, the owner, was exceptional in hosting us, especially during the uncertain lock down regulations. We had 80 guests, which comprised of our closest friends and family. It was a beautiful, cool autumn day with views to die for. Everything at the venue was just perfect on the day.
Highberry is a boutique winery which has recently established a brand new bespoke function venue, located on the outskirts of Somerset West.
I used a Retinol cream each night, in the months leading up to the wedding.
I also had a Dermapen session in January and Mesotherapy in the week before the wedding - these 2 procedures were done by Beaulah from Beyond Wellness in Bellville. I would recommend her services any day. I have known her for years and I trust no one else with my skin.
The grooms wore a tuxedo from Mr Suite Hire in Cape Gate.
His groomsmen wore black pants, black petty coats and black ties.
I had only one bridesmaid, my best friend who I have known for 20 years. She wore a black dress from YDE and looked gorgeous.
Ds Becker, old favourite from the Strooidak Chruch in Paarl. He is known all over Paarl and large areas of the Western Cape. His message was straightforward, down to the point and inspiring, even to many already married couples who attended the ceremony.
Astrid from Ever, Ever Photography was the photographer. She is one of the nicest people and she had to have some hair on her teeth with the men during the shoots :) But the pictures are amazing, we are still waiting on the rest of photographs. We did receive a sneak peek though.

Yes, I did. She was a total LIFE saver. Zahn from The-O-Company in Somerset West. She did a fantastic job in assisting on the day as well as decor ideas, furniture for pre-drinks etc.
AS the bridal parties stayed over at accommodation venues which were next to the venue, we didn't make use of any special transport. I walked from the venue hall to the ceremony area as it was very close to one another.
We had an exceptional caterer, Muriel Visser from Marinda and Muriel Catering. They reside in Wolseley, Western Cape and they are quite popular at many wedding venues for the hearty South African wedding food.
Oh-Yay designed and printed all our wedding stationary. She did a fantastic job.
We had live music for pre-drinks which the guests all very much enjoyed. His stage name is Chris Rain and he is quite popular in this area. Our DJ, Dirk, from Baha Entertainment, had the guests dancing all night long - he also provided all sound and lightning.
