Our commemoration to our late family members whom we lost in 2020 will always remain close to our hearts and we continue to light a candle in memory of love and life lived.

Another highlight is our perfectly choreographed dance . We still remember every step!
On the night of our wedding we spent the night at our venue ; Villa Zevenbosch. The rooms and views were breathtaking. On the Monday we took a road trip to Knysna and checked in at the Pezula Hotel and spa.Definitely Garden of Eden! While we were at the hotel we booked online tickets to go bunjee jumping the following day at the Bloukrans River Bridge ,Tsitsikamma. This was totally epic , our love for adventure spiralling into the face of the earth ! We will definitely do it again ! We explored the area and checked in the evening at an air bnb also in Knysna. By the Thursday we drove back to Mosselbay to enjoy lunch in the blue train , and visit the historic Cape St Blaize Cave nearby .
Our journey continued into the Easter weekend where we met up with our in-laws in Swellendam to celebrate the newly weds at a self catering cottage . Returning as Mr and Mrs Adams .
For over a year before the wedding I followed one specific wedding dress Brand page admiring their magical dresses; Enzoani . Up to this day I am still blown away by what they create ! I promised myself that I’m going to wear an Enzoani dress on the day of my wedding ! After the proposal I hurried off to my search engine to find a bridal shop that either sells or hires the brand ! And this is when I found a bridal shop named Weddings by Design located in Durbanville hiring imported Enzoani dresses. I rushed off for my first fitting and booked immediately!

Our wedding ceremony and reception was held in Kuilsriver at Villa Zevenbosch. After many setbacks with lockdown restrictions we were forced to cancel many venues, and roughly a month before the wedding we found this hidden gem !
The Villa was ours since the Friday evening until the Sunday . The night before the wedding the boys stayed over and on the wedding day we stayed over to continue our union celebration.
I’ve always been a fitness and skin care fanatic. My routine every morning and evening included a deep cleanse face wash by garnier , thereafter I moisturised with freshly picked aloe Vera gel. I’m blessed with a husband who is a personal trainer ,keeping me in shape throughout our journey. I consumed water daily , cutting out gas and any high sugar content foods ensuring that I maintain a healthy diet .
The theme I was going for was an enchanted ,whimsical forest wedding theme ,imitating tree bark in our furniture , forest themed invitations , white tulle table runners and emerald napkins with lots of candles in candle holders.
My bouquet included white orchids cascading like a waterfall made by a family friend Judy.
We hired lawn games to entertain the guests while they enjoyed their canapés.
Our absolutely beautiful flowers and decor was done by Jade Vollgraaff , Owner of JC Events.
Our Sound and lighting was provided by Angelo Bagely.
The Groom wore a charcoal three piece suit designed and made by GD suits .
The Grooms shoes were from Spitz , accessories by Micheal Kors.
The groomsmen hired their suits from Suit Hire . Shoes and Accessories worn were from Markhams.
My absolutely beautiful bridesmaids wore long polyester emerald dresses with a long slit in the front . I chose the dresses and bought it online . My girls wore a pearl necklace by KellysKreations to finish off their look.
Our Marriage Officer was our Pastor , Rodney Collison.
He is not only our Pastor , but a spiritual father , friend and confidant.
Every moment on our special day was captured by Micheal Jojo and his extremely talented team . We were fortunate to have two photographers , two videographers as well as a drone.
We are still overwhelmed by their quality and professionalism.
Our day could not have been any better if it had not been for Gerhard and JC Events.
The amount of work put in is immeasurable, we’re forever thankful for everything done behind the scenes and for sailing a smooth luxurious ship !
The Bride , Father of the Bride and Bridesmaids were transported to the wedding venue in a BMW 3-Series
What a smooth ride ! One of the Grooms friends was delighted to offer his service .
We opted for something different to the traditional menus. We absolutely loved the idea of having a spit braai and was fitting for our venue.
Our food was made by Pieter , who runs his own catering company called Karoo Spit Braai . Pieter provided us with canapés , mains and desserts. Welcome Drinks , champagne, wine , and the open cash bar was provided by Gerhard, our venue Coordinator.
Our wedding Cake was made by Aiden van Niekerk , also runs his own business called Aiden the baker .
As a thank you gesture each guest received a personalised cookie made by Michal Jones who also runs her own business called Baker Jones , the guests loved this idea.
Our stationary was designed and printed by Ark design.
Our Welcome and seating arrangement stands as well as the table numbers was hired from Hype Design .
On the day of the wedding my husband told me we have an intro dance , quickly I conveyed the messages to my girls. All he said was “just have fun and dance!”
We danced to a song by Davido -Aye , it lit up the entire place , our guests jumped to their feet and started cheering , by now the mood was set .
Our MC was non other than Sheldon Allies . What a powerful man. We designed a program however it wasn’t followed in chronological order but the flow made sense in that moment and I wouldn’t change one bit about it.
We started off by giving thanks for the food and immediately started the guests off with mains . Hereafter we started with our formal speeches and commemoration to my late sis and both Joshua’s pa’s whom we lost in 2020. Each played pivotal roles in our lives . The entire atmosphere was soaked with an aura of grieving hearts and deep longing.
This took a complete 360 revolution where
Josh surprised me with a song by Jamie Fox -Marrying an Angel . I’ve always dreamt of him singing to me on our wedding day. At that moment my heart burst with joy and thankfulness.
Our amazing live Band and Dj set the place on fire with their unique sound ! The night was long and couldn’t end because all our guests were on the dance floor including my 86 year old grandma !
It was definitely a night to remember!
Towards the end of the evening Josh and I surprised the guests with a first dance we totally rocked ! About two months before the wedding we contacted a professional dancing couple who choreographed our dance . The lyrics of black love by Masego and dance exploited the natural synergy between us.
